Can anyone please post any success stories about conceiving despite issues with their DPs sperm? Mine has poor morphology (less than 2% normal) and we're trying Fertilaid. I'd love to hear that other people got their BFPs despite these issues to help keep my optimism alive! Otherwise I'm happy to support others on the same journey. Thank you in advance.

Twins here :) Had five goes though, so it was a slog, but so, sooooo worth it. We started out with way lower than 2%. It was more like 0.001. Technically zero. Though you'd never guess from the turbo charged boys we got out of the IVF.

We tried unsuccessful for 6 years.

Recommended ICSI due to male infertility.

Had our wonderful twins following our second round.

Good luck. Flowers

DancingDuck did you do IVF or ICSI?

Five rounds of ICSI. IVF couldn't have worked for us with the count we had. Too low.
It was so worth it. I know it's a gamble but it's without doubt the best risk I ever took in my life.

Congratulations. I'm so pleased it worked for you and well done for persevering! Thanks so much for both your stories.

Currently 27 weeks pregnant after our second go at ICSI. DH has antisperm antibodies so we're given a 0% chance of a natural conception. Everything seems to be going great so far :)

Fingers crossed for you!

We had 2 rounds of ICSI, both successful and now have 3 children (singleton and then twins). Count, motility and morphology were all dreadful (morphology was less than 1%). We are very lucky.

Good luck.

We were a case of male factor infertility - more particularly low motility. We underwent one round of ICSI and am pleased to say we were successful and now have a beautiful six month old baby girl. Please don't give up hope and stay positive.

We were recommended ICSI due to very poor sperm count and then after my tubes got flushed I fell pregnant naturally three times in 8 cycles. Confused

Wow that's amazing! I wonder if I could have that done! Thank you for giving me hope!

It was actually a HyCoSyg diagnostic test for blockages, but anecdotally it can boost fertility. Clearly we were very very lucky and my experience is a long way outside the norm, but you did ask for success stories. Good luck!

We have male factor infertility - our diagnosis is azoospermia (a zero sperm count).

We have seen lots of positive success stories from other couples in our situation. I really recommend looking at Male Factor Infertility section on the Fertility friends forum. There are some fabulous success stories on there.

Oh no - I have the Fertility Friend app and you have to pay £18.99 to get to the forum bit. I was confused :( thanks so much for the tip though - still really grateful.

My DH has an incredibly low sperm count as a result of testicular cancer a few years ago. We conceived naturally after 1.5 years shortly after our first IVF consultation with a sperm count of only 100,000 and now have a beautiful baby girl. I hope that gives some hope that it could happen naturally for you, but if not then IVF essentially solves male factor infertility and so has very good success rates with MFI. Wish you the best of luck x

We had male infertility issues. My DH had 1% morphology. After vits and lifestyle changes it only improved by 1%. I had tests but they all came back clear. We went to see a fertility doctor/expert who suggested we move straight to IVF. I asked if I could try clomid beforehand and on my 2nd month of clomid I conceived. Unfortunately that pregnancy ended in miscarriage but I got pregnant again 3 months later (without clomid) and my DS is now 13 months. What I guess I'm trying to say is it is possible with low morphology and try every option, including medication for you.

Fortunately Male factor (with ok morphology) is one of the most straightforward diagnoses to treat - ICSI will completely bypass the problem and put you back in the same boat as people with no fertility issues at all (I'm assuming no issues with you?)

I'm not sure how helpful it is to pay too much attention to edge cases where individuals have been successful against all the odds. This is very much the minority experience and I think you would be better placed looking at the actual evidence based on large data sets.

Success story here! Poor motility. Two little boys - one ICSI and one spontaneous. Keep going lovey xxx

Should add...I seem to remember morphology was a bit of an issue too. The thing with make factor is that it can be famine and feast. That's what we were told anyway. ICSI bypassed the issues for us. It worked the second time round. Then I got pregnant naturally which was a huge, huge, huge shock as honestly we were told things were dire for us. (I remember coming out of the clinic when we were told about DH sperm and not being able to breathe.). I miscarried baby two which was devastating but then I got pregnant naturally again a month later......what were the odds? But it happened to me. Go figure.....😊.
