Progesterone pessaries

ladies, was hoping you'd be willing to share your experience with progesterone pessaries when ttc.

In summary, I've been trying for well over a year and suffered one early mc pretty early on when we started trying. Anyway, I've given up with the NHS for now after all our standard blood and sperm tests came back normal and they are fobbing us off until the two year mark.

I've seen a private consultant and did two monitored clomid cycles which weren't successful. He's monitored a natural cycle and knows I'm ovulating and my lining is good so after my scan on day 15 this cycle (could see I was just about to ovulate) has prescribed progesterone pessaries post ov for 14 days and then told me to test.

My luteal phase is short - sometimes 14 days but usually 10 and some spotting from day8.

Just wanted to hear from people who had tried this pre bfp??

I had them and had twins! I'm not sure why I had them, as I'm in the Middle East and I just kind of rolled with it, but whatever it is they do, they work!

Thanks feesh - wow twins! Does seem that uk docs are less likely to prescribe!

I've only had them as part of ivf. However a friend of mine had a miscarriage. Second pregnancy she went private, had progesterone and despite a miscarriage scare the pregnancy continued successfully. She's convinced it was the progesterone.

I had them simultaneous with progesterone injections as part of ivf - now have a beautiful 2 year old daughter. Good luck Smile
