Clomid/period- HELP

Okay, so I'm 22 me and my partner been together for 10years around about.
Cut a long story short, I got a phone call from doc last week saying I'm not ovulating going to prescribe me some pills 50mg clomid soo my question is what's your experiences?
How's best to deal with whole situation?

I don't really have periods they come when they please. I'd approx about 4-6 a year. However just come on today all I know I have to take one tomoz. I don't understand periods or stuff like that never had it explained to me ??
