Does Clomid affect your luteal phase?

I took Clomid for the first time this month. I ovulated on CD20 (which is a week early for me with PCOS) and today is 14dpo when I normally always get my period. It hasn't come and pregnancy tests are completely negative. Has anyone else had their luteal phase extended by Clomid? If so, by how many days? Thank you

Yes your lp should be longer on clomid. Clomid Stimulates the ovaries to produce and ovulate an egg. Once released the follicle pretty much dries up and then releases progesterone to thicken up your lining ready for an embryo. Even if you don't get pg this month take it as a very good sign that you ovulated a week early and you have a decent lp length Grin

Hi Birchy, thanks. I am on my next cycle now too. My LP ended up two days longer and cant believe how stressed out I got those last days. I knew nothing about Clomid affecting the cycle. Oh well onwards and upwards. FX for you too.
