Hello! My husband and I have been trying for a baby for nearly five years. We had a course of IVF few months ago but unfortunately my eggs did not respond as they should have and were advised we would need to use donor eggs.
We are on a waiting list at Liverpool's Hewitt Centre,We have been advised that the best way to speed things up would be for us to find our own donor. Our preference is for an anonymous donation so we were wondering if there is anyone out there thinking of egg donation/egg sharing who would be willing to help us out?

We are paying for the treatment so if you are between 21 and 35 years old want to go through privatly financed IVF and willing to share the eggs you will get help towards your treatment.OR we are looking for a kind donor to help us.

The egg donation coordinator has given us a unique code number so that anyone contacting them on our behalf is recognised in this way.
If you think you can help please call Liverpool Hewitt Fertility Centre on 0151 702 4212 and please quote the Reference Number "569R".

Thanks for reading & good luck to all!!

Id happily help if I could, Ive had a surrogate baby so egg donation is the next thing on my check list! Not 100% sure if I can do it yet due to bmi being 35 - ironic slightly that that might disqualify me from donating eggs but I can carry someones baby! Hmm Grin Also im a long way from you, can they transport eggs between clinics?

Hi, I hope you have had sucess in finding an egg donor, I understand it's such a difficult time & I wish you all the luck.

Myself & my husband are also looking for an anonymous egg donor.
I am 36 years old and have recently got married.
My dream has always been to one day have a family of my own, but unfortunately I have been diagnosed with premature ovarian failure which means I have no eggs of my own to ever be able to conceive naturally.
My husband and I are absolutely devastated and I am now looking for an egg donor to help fulfill our dream of having a family.
Using another ladies egg would enable me to conceive through IVF treatment.
This would mean so much to us and would be a dream come true.
It would all be anonymous so our paths would never cross.
If you are interested in helping us or would like more information please ring the Ovum Donation coordinator at Liverpool Women's hospital on 0151 702 4212 and quote reference number 568R.
Thank you very much for your time.

Whilst I'm sure it's necessary, it's a shame about the age limit as I would do this in a heartbeat but am too old (tho not too old to be producing eggs still Confused )

Very best of luck, ladies.

Bit of a different approach, but have you tried taking to twitter? may reach more people in your local area...you could set up different twitter account rather than using your names...
Good luck to you both. x

I'm finding this thread interesting because I was considering egg-sharing. I'm 30 and have a healthy daughter who's one. I would like to have another child but not until I'm about 39/40. Although the women in my family are generally very fertile I don't want to take a chance so was considering egg sharing in exchange for freezing some of my eggs for later use. I did some research and met all the criteria, plus I'm educated, have a good job etc so I rang up one clinic but they immediately turned me down when they heard I have non-heridtary epilepsy. I was instantly very insulted! My neurologist who leads in the field of epilepsy and women said that my passing epilepsy onto my daughter was basically non-existent. However it's like these expensive private fertility clinics are looking for perfect women, no wonder there's such long waiting lists! I would consult my neurologist on the idea of egg donating but if she said it was dangerous for me then I would not go any further, however she is the expert not the clinics. So I'm thinking there's no point in me communicating with anymore clinics.

My friend who is young, healthy and is an accountant and manager who also had a perfectly healthy baby naturally was considering altruistic egg donation. The £750 paid in compensation would not cover her loss in work days. However when I read her the basic criteria she shrugged her shoulders and said she probably did not even meet those so would not bother putting herself forward. The barrier to being an egg donor is crazy and makes it almost impossible to be charitable!

This is why British women end up going to the Ukraine etc for donor eggs. I wonder if their standards for egg donors are as stringent as the UK.

rvms, thank you for your message, it means alot knowing that there are ladies out there willing to help us, but your right the criteria is just bizarre and they expect to much from donors. Ladies like yourself are having healthy babies but when it comes to donating their eggs they are being refused, it's so frustrating when all we want is a baby to love and cherish. I rang the hospital yesterday to ask if I had moved any on the waiting list only to be told I hadnt and that some ladies had been waiting since 2010, i was just advised to carry on advertising, I got off the phone feeling even worse than I did. Like you say I wonder if the criteria is so strict in other countries x

Good luck in your search Thistle13, I hope your dream comes true soon. It's also good to know that recipients such as yourself agree with me that probably perfectly good donors who even meet the basic UK criteria are being instantly turned down without a decent explanation. I said my epilepsy is non-heridtary, controlled (I even have a driving license) and I had a healthy pregnancy and daughter, but they weren't interested. The woman on the phone who spoke to me was also rude. I imagine other potential donors have had similar experiences and it puts off other ladies. Our eggs are not supposed to be perfect commercial goods but gifts to help other couples experience the joy of children. Hopefully by searching on personal websites such as this and fertility friends you will soon find a perfectly good match in your area before a clinic even has a chance to turn them down x
