Am feeling a lot better this morning, but just had the scan and everything looks the same as it did two days ago... So now we have to wait for the consultants decision on whether we're going ahead or not.

Transfer is cancelled. They thought I'd be too unwell if they went ahead. We're disappointed but know it's the right decision. We have 4 brilliant quality blasts to go in the freezer and 1 more that might catch up. X

awww sammy i totally understand how you feel. i was really upset when my transfer got cancelled but try and look at the positive thing... you have 4 brilliant blasts going in the freezer and success rate is higher this way also. have they said how long will they wait to get you ready for the transfer?

sorry shel, i think ive confused you - i started nhs cycle and got as far as EG. but i only had 1 good embryo and due to OHSS being too high they cancelled my ET. at which point i decided to start a new cycle privately. so in theory i still have one embryo in the freezer waiting as back. but to be honest im hoping it wont come to that - the private cycle is costing way tooo much so hoping it works!!!

i started down regging on nasal spray for about 2 weeks, had my hsg on friday and stims started on friday also. so im on my day 2 of stims. for the first time i did my injections myself as hubby was at work. i spilled a few drops whilst getting the injections ready... hope that doesnt make a difference?

got scan tomorrow and daily blood tests so its quite intense!!!

not long to go now shel for your test date? hope its good news x

Aussie why did you decide not to use your frozen embie? What was the NHS wait for transfer?

sammy I had a feeling they might cancel but its great you have 4 good ones to freeze. A infertility friend of mine from a FB group is currently 10 weeks preg from her 1st frozen transfer. Your time will come soon. Will it be next cycle you can have it done? I know you must be disappointmented though, but it has to be the right time x

Really good you have some in the freezer thou! I had 16 eggs and two blastocysts have gone back but none were good enough for the freezer
So mega anxious and such a mess

Welcome frank relax and breathe :-) you can do this. Try to keep yourself busy, are you working? Hobbies? Were you NHS? Did they not give you info on OHSS at your clinic? It's when your ovaries get over stimulated and you can get really poorly. I don't know all the details as I never quite made it to get ivf. I'm afraid I'm a preggo lurker who used to be on this thread with male factor infertility. I got a miracle natural bfp after 2 failure to start iui treatments. Wishing you the best of luck x

O yes they did! I was worried I had that as felt quite rough after collection they got 16 eggs from one ovary but sounds like what you ladies are saying I would really know about it if I did! I was bloated up like a whale and so sore

Yes went back to work day after transfer and took it easy
It was private , first IVF round got blood test on Wednesday to see if its worked..... Been cramping since the transfer and had spotting today, the clinic dont seem worried about it they said call if it goes "bright red" but its brown so gross but ok could be a side effect of the cyclogest
But made me a nervous wreck today fun fun

sammy, must be frustrating having to drag this saga on. I know the feeling well of just wanting it to all be over with. But you sound quite at peace with it in knowing it's the right decision. Lovely thread intro by the way, welcoming all on their infertility journey, where every they are at. Speaking of which...

Welcome Frank. You've come so far, you're almost there. Keep breathing and just try to find some beauty in today. I also had two transferred and have my blood test on Monday so I know how you are feeling. I just went for a walk and made a conscious effort to enjoy the flowers and sunshine. It really does help. Is it normal for you to get this brown spotting before your period or is this something new and perhaps a positive sign of the embryo burrowing in?

Oh, okay aussie. I thought you were down regging for the FET. But you're doing a whole new cycle privately. What made you choose to do that? Looking forward to hearing your scan update.

Welcome frank - everything crossed for a happy outcome for you!

My OHSS symptoms have mainly been nausea with a small amount of pain on and off in my back and stomach. My ovaries are about 7cm instead of their usual 2cm, and I have aprox a pint of free fluid. They said the problems were that if we went ahead a) embies might not implant as conditions not ideal, b) I might miscarry as being unwell all the time and c) if we did fall pg the symptoms would get so much worse I could end up in hospital. Your clinic would not have advised the transfer if they thought there was a risk.

I have to wait for my next bleed and then arrange a scan, then transfer will be after the next period... So it kind of depends on my body really. Xx

No this isn't usual before my period it normally starts straight away, really hoping its not anything to worry about and it is a good thing! Clinic told me to take IBS tablets for the cramping so doing that which is helping
Hopefully could also just be old blood from the egg collection

Must be upsetting having to wait longer but at least u will be feeling well when do u have the transfer.
Did they get alot off eggs from you?

Yes, they got 18 eggs in total, I had 21 follicles. I'm only petite hence the slight over stimulation effecting me more. Xx

O dear you poor thing!!
Did u find the trigger shot hard? The last one you have before collection..... I spent the whole day on the sofa in so much pain and the constant retching.......

The trigger did hurt, but didn't make me nauseous actually. But having said that I had to do it at 10pm so went straight to bed afterwards. Maybe it would have been worse if I had been awake. X

Aussie - how long did it take for your period to arrive after stopping the pessaries? Should I be expecting a usual length cycle? Xx

hi ladies,

chops and shelter - i just didnt feel confident in nhs and the fact it took almost 1 year i think i just lost my patience! not sure if its the right decision thou - i suppose only time will tell lol but i tell you ... doing this privately is blooody expensive!!!

sammy - from memory my period arrived 1 week later i think. but after ec they didnt give me no medication to take.

frank and shelter - not long to go hunnies! you've come so far so no looking back! try and focus on things that relax you. listening to relaxing music always works for me?

so update from me - went for my first scan today since stimming. they said everything looks ok. but this diet of 3 litres of water and 1 litre of milk is bloody hard!!! x

Hard to think Im pregnant now they said the cramps are normal but just cant believe it!

No blood test in Wednesday morning
All my symptoms after the spotting have now gone....boobs are not hurting and feel ok think its game over
