6 cycles of Clomid later....next stop IVF

Hi

After AF arriving this morning, that's my 6th cycle of Clomid with no positive outcome (3x50mg and 3x100mg - had one follicle scan during first round of higher dose).

I go back to the Gynae Consultant next week and our next option is IVF, they have already pre-warned me.

As background, I'm 35, trying for 2 years in total now, my DH has low morphology but plenty of swimmers, I had a low 21 day progesterone level (which kicked off the hospital referral from GP), AMH of 17.5 (did privately through a 'fertility MOT') all ultrasounds showed things OK (womb lining, shape etc), but HSG showed one clear tube and one tube with an inconclusive result, so they decided it could be blocked so would assume it was!

If we get an IVF referral, what does that mean?
Is it a wait to see another consultant at an assisted conception unit?
Then another wait for treatment to start?

We can afford private but don't want to start that if NHS wait might not be that long.

I live in North Hertfordshire and currently seeing Gynae at Lister in Stevenage.
