Hello all.
I'm on my 2nd cycle of clomid, I've been told that if it doesn't happen this time or on cycle 3 of treatment I will be going for iui.

Could I get some info about the treatment off of people who are going through it/been through it. I'm a bit apprehensive.

Hi Christmas
Think I've seen you on the Clomid thread. Sorry to see nobody has replied to your question.

I'm afraid I don't have any answers as in the same boat as you - about to start 4th round of clomid after a 5 month break (during which I had a laparoscopy and they found mild endometriosis). Waiting on referral to the Assisted Conception Unit to discuss IUI and IVF. Think will opt to do one IUI then straight to IVF as getting mighty impatient with this ttc#1 (30 cycles and counting)! I got a bfp once but that was back in December 2011...and unfortunately miscarried at 8/9 weeks.

How long have you been ttc?

I'm a bit apprehensive about all of this too!

sorry i have no answers either, ive just done 8 rounds of clomid, now waiting for lap&dye and we're starting IUI.

from what ive learnt, the drugs are better (injections) they dont affect your lining and produce better eggs.

my other half has dodgy sperm and i have pcos so fingers crossed iui is the answer. if not, onto ivf.

we also got a bfp on clomid and also miscarried at 9 weeks.

you'll feel better when u have a plan in place, its all such a waiting game and the not knowing is the worst. xxx

Sorry to hear that BessieHmm
So you had no luck with clomid? I found it made me periods lighter and last only a couple of days so I worried about the effect on my lining. I took a long break from it but going to start my fourth round tonight. Don't hold out much hope though.

When are you having iui? I'm hoping for July as got loads on in June so wouldn't be able to manage. Hopefully my appointment with the acu will come through in the next couple of weeks.

Hi I've just had my first cycle of iui and got a bfp but have just miscarried. It was quite an easy process. I went for a scan cd3 just to make sure everything went ok, I then had to take two injections in the evenings, the fear of doing the injections was much worse than reality, I'd suggest having a look at videos on YouTube although you will be shown at the clinic. I then had to go back cd7 for another scan to see how I was responding. I was actually responding a bit too well so I reduced the medication over the next few days. Went back for a scan cd10 and all looked good except I had four follicles. I therefore needed follicle reduction. So I took my trigger shot to bring on ov that night and was booked in for iui on cd12. On the day we arrived in the morning dh had to provide a sample and then we had to go back an hour or so later. As I had to have follicle reduction I had to be sedated so generally I don't think you'd have this. I rested for the rest of the day there wasn't any pain or anything. I had to take progesterone once a day until testing day.

I'm hoping to do it again once af arrives, if you have any questions just let me know.

Thanks for replying all.
Sorry to hear about the miscarriages Thanks
I'm currently 11 days into last clomid cycle. Got my scan tomorrow. I'm a bit worried about iui as I was told it's quite invasive, and that there's a lot you have to do throughout the treatment, although from what you say floweroct it doesn't sound bad. I wouldn't mind injecting myself. I'm hoping this treatment works though this time. I've been ttc for 1yr 4months now. Seems like forever but compared to some ladies on here I feel like a b**ch moaning!
