I'm starting down regging on Monday so a couple of weeks behind you. Are you on long protocol?

I'm starting down regging tonight and dreading it! My stomach is numb from previous surgeries so it won't hurt it's just the unnatural act of putting a needle into your body.

What dosage of gonal f are you on? I'm on 300ml but that seems really high.
Bet you can't wait till tues, you get to move in a stage Smile

Yes cant wait seems like such a lot of waiting around. As my cycles fell wrong before xmas closure of clinic hanging around since oct.
Im on menopur but think same thing.
I alternate 75/150 due to pcos to avoid an overreaction.
I am 34 at moment
Hopefully i am on a low dose as this is private and would save some on drugs. It will probably longer than usual to get to EC due to lower dose

Hello all, I'm new to MumsNet. I'm undergoing downreg at the moment (2nd IVF and post 2 x IUI). It's not exactly ideal (leaving aside the emotional issues) as I suffer terribly from side effects with the drugs. I'm only 7 days into the progesterone tablets (nothesterone) and my abdomen is as distended as my currently 4 months pregnant sister. I'm also ravenously hungry all the time. I saw on google that these are possible side effects but I was wondering whether its common amongst those of you at the similar stage of the treatment? Perhaps I'm just very reactive.?? Smile

I'm probably not a very good guide for the bloating as now on just the spray I feel much less bloated than the last few months (pcos ).
But then you are about to get a period so it's probably that and you may feel better when that gets going.

So depending in your bloods what drug do you have the pleasure of injecting next?

Report
naty1 · 03/02/2014 19:05

Menopur for 8 days then a scan to see where the follicles are at. It will probably take quite a while due to low dosage i think last time around 14 days so several more scans :( and maybe a blood test if there are too many follicles.
Such a balancing act

It's such a long process I am only on day 4 of down regging and it's dragging already!

An hour! Do you always have this trouble? What a pain considering how many them you need to do it.
Hope they ring you soon Grin

Mine only ring if there is a problem otherwise i carry on and do injections tomorrow.
Yes i have been having trouble with blood tests i think its my hypothyroidism so low body temp keeps the blood in my organs not my arm.
Hopefully no more till EC day when theres the anesthetic.
When is your blood test?

So do you have a rough idea on when ec will be?
I dont have my blood test until the 14th, I can't wait. I'm always aware that it could be cancelled if I'm
Not responding though. I would be devastated, hopefully it's rare.
Is it just scans now for you?

Report
naty1 · 04/02/2014 14:41

I think it's rare , maybe they would continue for a few more days.
Even the non response to stimms sounds rare.
I have no real idea I think I had maybe 14 days last time but would depend on weekends and if I overreact so that would be EC on 19th. At least that is mid week so allows a few days on either side. But only the scans will show.
Looking at my sheet that seems like a long time on stimms as it would be almost off the sheet

Glad your feeling better, when's your first scan booked for?
I'm feeling grumpy, tired and hungry after a week of down reg. Not sure if it's the drug or I'm just using that as an excuse Grin
