Day 3 tests tomorrow. It's not day 3.

My gp has insisted that it doesn't matter what day I have bloods taken to check for fsh levels. She made me an appointment for tomorrow, and I thought that coincidentally, it might just work out. Yesterday things looked good, I thought my period was starting, but that was just spotting (0ften happens like that) so it might just about be day one of a slow starting cycle tomorrow.

Can anyone tell me wether this result will tell me anything useful?

Thanks in advance.

I had mine done on day 2 which the dr said was fine. I think it does need to be at the start of the cycle. You might want to post this on the conception board because its much busier on there and there are lots of knowledgeable posters.

How frustrating. Day 2 is fine though.

On another note you mention spotting prior to af starting. I had this and it was a symptom of low progesterone. B50 (supplement h&b) stopped this happening and after a few mc I am sure helped me get my beautiful ds!

Gp's are particularly bad at writing off slight cycle issues.

Good luck

Thanks for that, and cakes. Just to clarify, I am not ttc, but would like to know how fast my clock is ticking!

I am only really getting day 1 this evening, so really not sure what to make of whatever result I get next week.

Vitamin b5? Or b50? I never realised they went up to the 50's!

Thanks for the kind words, and congratulations!

ah - b50 is the holland and barratt one which has 50mg of all the b vitamins. B6 is the crucial one but you need to balance it out with the others.
I had my fsh done just to see how clock was ticking had bad news and got ttc straight away. It probably saved me from being childless - more women should do it!

Hi and cake. Thanks for the info. The results came back normal, so I guess I am going to take the gp's word for it. She also said I am anaemic so I have iron to take, and I have bought superdrug's own brand of berocca, which has a few b vitamins in, as well as a bunch of other stuff.

I'm happy to hear that the tests helped you to plan your family, and thanks for helping me feel like I'm not paranoid for getting the tests done when I'm not in a position to ttc at all!
