Hi, they probably will order repeat SA test, or should do 3 months after the first one to see if levels improve. Is dh doing all he can to improve his levels ( supplements, cool, loose underwear, no alcohol, no smoking, healthy diet and exercise etc?)

They should repeat the SA as result can vary. My dh managed to double his count in the 2nd test.

I went for a private fc appt so might be different but in mine the consiltant went through each option and what could rule it out.

Thank you for your replies Smile

DH is cutting back on booze (I wish he'd give up), just started taking wellman contraception, eating brazil nuts, wears loose boxers more often, so he is trying

Each change he does might improve the results. It's hard isn't it not to go crazy about it all. I've got my dh not putting his mobile in his pocket in case that has an impact!

Have you seen dh's test result? Our gp said his was 'fine' but it transpired his count was scraping normal and the morphology rate was very very low.

Repeat SA's are important and as sperm is replenished every 3 months it is one of the few things that someone can do to help fertility improve.

Agree looking at more than numbers is important.

GP didn't give us the stats but assume FC will explain them to us, hopefully it will improve if he has another one too.

hi. we are trying for our 2nd baby. took a year with our first amd had miscarriage. been trying for 2nd baby for 2 years now. so went to GP in march to start the ball rolling. my results and scans were normal. my husband did two SA for the GP and another for the gynaecologist once we had been referred. they all showed low count (too low to analyse apparently). Gynae said he had to go back to GP and get referral to urologist. so now we are waiting for appointment. its so hard that its been 7 months and we still dont feel like we have any answers or a plan. I hope the urologist proves positive. has anyone else seen a urologist and if so what kind of stuff did you discuss? thanks for reading guys xxx
