I know someone learning Chinese medicine acupuncture, I have offered myself as a patient for her coursework based on fertility issues.
I was wondering what your stories/opinions where. Smile

Katatonic, thanks :) sorry fr your loss, I'm sure anything is worth a try, no harm in having a go.
Wish you lots of luck in trying again Grin

I tried it.
Hard to say whether it worked as you can't compare it to what would have happened without it. My post "Run out of tears" within the infertility section tells my story.

Lots of needles at every session...at one point (no pun intended) I had 19 in me. Mainly in my feet, ankles & wrists as well as underarm occasionally.

Ilikecooking, that's a good point, that's a lot of needles but I'm one of these strange people that actually like them lol.
Did you conceive after though? X

Tried it, ended up with a huge bruise across my abdomen when they popped a vessel or something. Didn't work.

Tried hypnotherapy, homeopathy, reiki, reflexology, you name it, I tried it, spent a fortune, none of it worked Hmm.

I saw a Zeta West recommended one in my area whilst having IVF. On the day of implanting she gives her clients a free session (a good karma thing). That .implanted egg now a little girl was 3 ten days ago.

I and my cousin (successful first attempt DT boys) truly believed it helped but as said before there is no control test to prove or disprove the theory.

If you can afford it and you feel you can believe in it then I'd say go for it.

Tried it hated it found it really stressful. My cycles were already all ver the place so it was hard for anyone to judge. Around the 3 week I ad a chemical pregnancy and I can never put it out my mind that the acupuncture tcm didn't contribute. I think I'm just the kind of person who needs to have some good theories of how things work.

I've been having acupuncture for the last couple of months, while TTC. I am in my 2ww for my second cycle, and feel like I have a lot more energy generally. I hardly feel most of the needles, but the sensations from a few have taken some getting used to (for the first 5 mins or so). I really love the sessions and the feeling of relaxation afterwards. There are some studies that say acupuncture increases chances of successful ivf - but no hard science as to why. the studies I have seen participants had acupuncture or not at certain points in their treatment, whereas my acupuncturist says that it is about preparing your body for pregnancy and that this can take a couple of months.
