Thanks for the new thread Duggs and re my thyroid am going to wait until I go to Care and see what they say as Mr S says under 2.5 is fine so second opinion would be good. Have filled in self referral for Care so hopefully won't have to wait long for appointment.

Well had a message from Healthcare at home saying they have a delivery for me! I assume that means the humira didn't work and I need another round, would have been nice if somebody at Newlife had let me know first! Just hope it is worth going down the humira road and not just wasting more time!

Book marking thankyou!
Sorry to hear that pebbles, yes naughty of newlife especially when it's so expensive I'd be on the phone!! It seems you have to natter to get anywhere these days. I had to email Louise for my results.
Think I'll be going serum next week, get it done, as my hubby pointed out I could pay for flights for the 12th but can't guarantee when af will come after mc so may end up losing money which he's right xx
Work to tomorrow and dreading it x

pebbles That's an odd way to find out about it! When are you going to get the actual results, do you know? Is it worth an email to Louise to say that H@H have contacted you, and you would like to know if this means your results suggest your TNFa hasn't come down enough - surely she'll tell you? Fingers crossed Care come through for you soon, it's awful having to wait!

mel Best of luck if you're going out next week, think there are a few of the FF ladies out there next week too. You're almost bound to run into other English couples there, it's quite strange in a way!

Hope your first day back at work isn't going to badly Mel and good on you for just going to Serum next week.

Well turns out Louise had left a message on my old phone number as hadn't updated them with my new one, whoops!! My level has gone down slightly to 33.2 so still too high and need to do two more shots. She said to then see Mr S for further instruction/advice but if we like Care will go with thier advice.

Loving the new thread. Smile

pebbles Do they know what's causing your high TNFa, just out of interest? Will you have the shots before seeing Care, or will you wait until you've seen them first?

ari I know you were worried you have not been having implantation cramps but remember this is an IVF transfer. So it could be that you are not going to have cramps with the DE. I still have my fingers crossed for you.

duggs when is your 2ww over?

mel good luck at athens. If the care is anything like ari recieved I am sure you will be in good hands.

pebbles are they going to do further tests why your tnf is so high?

Thanks ladies
I sobbed when I got there but my boss did hug me which was hard :(
The kids were ok thankfully but I'm knackered! Boss suggested I go parttime to ease back in but I can't afford to :/
When I had 4 humira shots he didnt Retest as said nothing more could be done so waste of time so don't know level now or why they are high x

Good luck Mel for next week. Ari fingers crossed. Duggs how come you know 2ww is over on 5 June? Have I missed something or do you just know when AF is due?

Well flights are booked. Ari did you go half board? I'm trying to figure out which is better B and B or half board, did you feel like eating? Did you feel up to going out to eat after op? Thanks x

Oh I am loving this info sharing on the DE and OE cycle abroad because it really seemed scary but with this chat it doesn't seem so daunting at all. Just popping on over Grin keep it flowing ladies.

lol duggs Well it kind of feels like "just popping over" to be honest, it's a bit like getting the train only with a little more waiting around :) If you have reliable maps and info passed on from others, then it's not nearly as scary, although of course the first time you do it is always a bit daunting.

mel We did B&B and although the food at the Alex is nice, there are SO many places to eat around the area, I'd honestly not bother with half board. After the op .. well, it was straight back to Serum to go through it with Penny, then out for some lunch, then onto the Metro and off to the Acropolis for the afternoon. I kid you not! I had no pain, no grogginess, it was a completely different experience to my hysto at New Life - and they didn't even do any cutting or anything. Do remember to take your own ahem sanitary wear or you may end up with the standard hospital issue, which I'm told is huge! Oh, and you get a big carrier bag with gifts from the Yaia at your op as well, toiletries/creams and the like, so make sure you have room in your suitcase if you want to bring them all home. Anyone ever been given a gift by a hospital before when you had an op? Strangest thing!

Have you actually got a scheduled day/time for the hysto mel, or are you going to see Penny first? What time are you flying, do you have the info on getting to the Alex from the airport & Agate's maps, or do you need some tips (given that I was only out there last week - god it seems so much longer ago!).

choccy Glad to hear your cycle seems to be behaving itself this month .. agnus castus is very good stuff, I swear by it, although I read it takes 3 months to build up in your system to work properly.

duggs Wouldn't it be nice to have a surprise, just when you think it won't work it does? :) :) Well, you never know, stranger things have happened!

/wavees to everyone, hope you're all doing ok

Thanks ari B and B it is then ;) tips would be fab please I was going to get a taxi from airport?
Glad you were ok after op that sounds good! I'm exhausted!!
Wow free gifts too sounds good!
I get in about 12.30 so penny said go straight to serum for about 1.30 then op on Thursday. Flight back leaves at 1.30... Ooh nervous. Can't take case as easyjet charge so going to manage with hand luggage. Do I need to pack a towel?
Agates info is very useful x

duggs hang on in there, I feel the same as you but feeling negative will still provide the same outcome so you might as well try to keep upbeat (if that makes sense). I keep telling myself I choose to be positive and get on with trying to live a half decent life without the whole baby making thing consume me. It's so hard though. My friend who is 6 weeks has found out she is having twins and sent me her scan pic - yes thanks for that, just what I wanted to see!!!

I agree its great with the overseas treatment stories as it does take the fear out! I still don't think I could pursuade my DH to do it though! He's already moaning that he will have to wait in for me while I do my injections tonight as my period started today. Sorry to interfere with his Saturday night plans! Men! Grrrrr.

Does anyone know the cheapest place to get the LAD/DQA test done? Was hoping to get it done at serum on Wednesday but hubby is away early hours mon so he won't be able to get blood taken x

Sorry Mel I have no idea. Maybe Ari might???

I have a question too - if I get to egg collection, I will be having intrallipids at The Lister in Chelsea on the same day but after that want to go to INS. Does anyone know what the amount is that New Life administer for very high killer cellls? I can't afford to go to New Life for their intrallipids seeing as I paid for 4 lots last year!!! That's assuming I even get pregnant let alone 20 weeks again. Also do INS supply the intrallipids or do you have to get from somewhere else??
