Blood test results

Hi,

I had my first lot of tests (after about 1.5 years ttc) last week and just had to phone up today for the results. They said the swab was ok, but I have to go in next week to get my blood test results. Do they normally want to talk about it, or is this an indication that there's a problem? Funnily enough, I got my first opk smiley face the day after the doctor's appointment, so I was hoping they'd all come back ok....anyone else at this stage of waiting?

Hi

Who ran the tests? Your GP? Fertility specialist?

I was never given any results over the phone, always face to face.

The only time that was any different was when I used Chlomid and they would alter the dosage, but for regular testing it was face to face, as even if normal they wanted to chat bout what the next step/investigations would be.

Good luck, in some ways I found this time one of the hardest to get my head around, and the investigations a bit daunting.

I now have a DD mo (2nd go at IVF) and I am in the 2ww following a Frozen Embryo Transfer.

If they do find a problem, in some ways that's easier as it might give you something to "fix" iyswim.

Hope you caught the smiley face in time, and this will all be a moot point!

Thanks Blending, it was the Doctor - we're literally at the beginning of it all, so we went to the Doctors for the first time last week and he sent me to the hospital for a blood test. That's reassuring - the receptionist said not to worry but it's hard not too... good point about finding a problem making it easier, I didn't think of it in that way before.

Good luck with your 2ww :) I'm tempted to test a day early on Saturday as it's DH's birthday!

Well no early testing as AF arrived today.Slightly worried as I only had my progesterone (sp?) test 5 days ago, rather than 7 as it should have been (how hard is it to get it on the right day?!). I need to be a bit more disciplined with my opk kits. Hope you get a +ve Blending. x
