Is he mentally unstable?

I thought there'd been an attempt on his life when I read the title quickly.

Nothing he says surprises me. I really think that there is something mentally wrong with him, or he is drunk/on drugs. I don't know.

It scares me that there is anyone who supports him in America

I assumed this was a huge overreaction and that he was calling on them to vote but when you read what he actually said it's quite clear.
am I being hopeful that this will spell the end of Americans taking him seriously?

I've been of the opinion for some time that he's actually trying to throw this fight. He's saying more and more ludicrous things in the hope of throwing it, but instead, his supporters lap it up.

So he's getting more desperate. He's only after the massive ego trip. He doesn't actually want the hard work of running the country!

His whole campaign is inching ever closer to implosion.

That has struck me, nut I am not sure. He'd have to be extraordinarily rash to do that in this way.

Report
NotYoda · 10/08/2016 06:50

but I'm not sure

Dowager - ha. Ha. That would be very funny if you were right and like Boris he didn't actually want to win.

Because if you're right he's bound to win. Sod's law.

Dowager, either that or a dangerous combination of poor judgement, low Intelligence and violent.
Please someone reassure me Clinton will win?

Notyoda - but boris did just that. Campaign for an election he didn't want to win. So nothing's impossible anymore.

On The BBC website it says an independent candidate has put himself forward - a Republican former CIA operative

Sadly you probably are.

At this point he could probably pull his pants down and wipe his bum on the American flag and there would still be people cheering for him. I don't know what he could do or say that would be a step too far for people. Utterly baffling.

article on us law about incitement to violence.

.Id say he crossed the line a while a go. This however.....
He claims that the press, and us all, have it wrong, that he meant they could use their vote. Didn't sound like that to me.

I too thought there had been an attempt on his life. I clicked on this thread quite excitedly. But no... I don't like Clinton but she has to be better than him.

The more I hear from Trump, the more upset I get that he has a chance of running one of the most powerful countries in the world.

Donald Trump is a tit. A rich tit. He's on a power trip because let's face it because he is so rich there is no goal left except politics. Can you imagine DT being satisfied with a normal hobby? This is his hobby.

It wouldn't sound like that to anyone with brain power greater than an amoeba. He's claiming that journalists are agreeing with him - they are journalists from Fox News, of course.

I couldn't see anything on the bbc about the volunteer, does anyone have a link?
Do you think hc is scared or do you think this is just another threat her security take into account? Corruption and threats...I thought the us would condemn other counties for running their political systems along those lines!

Yes, that's what DH thinks. He's had bosses just like Trump. Megalomaniacs who think normal rules of speech and behaviour (e.g. having temper tantrums) don't apply to them, and so much power that no-one corrects them.

I think that the symptoms of that are like someone whose Frontal Lobes are damaged. What's so worrying is that that appeals to so many people

Also this Fundmentalism about the Constitution is like religious fundamentalism - it's document, written by men in a certain historical period. Like the Bible

I was hoping claig would be here saying this is all a conspiracy by the elite establishment.

No, just Trump going off on one.

I used to think outrageous lying in politics was no route to electoral success. Then we had Brexit.

I think a lot of people just want to shake things up a bit. Vote for a change, any change.

He is a vile vile man and I'm just hoping he makes more and more mistakes which might mean the "waverers" would be put off. However, he has a core group of gun toting supporters who will worship him whatever he says, they want violence and he is inciting it. After all, he earlier said he could shoot someone on 5th Avenue and not lose votes.
