She got out of the car in the tiger enclosure after a "row". You've got to wonder exactly how bad a row that would have had to have been Hmm I hope whatever went on in that car is fully investigated. Awful death. And awful for her family

Wasn't the woman that was killed the mother of the original woman who left the car and was trying to save her daughter? As far as I know the daughter also has critical injuries. Very sad.

Petal40 · 24/07/2016 17:49

Oh dear god....when was this

Buggers · 24/07/2016 17:49

This is why wild animals should stay in the wild and not in zoos or parks.. did the tiger get shot?

Longlost10 · 24/07/2016 17:50

was it? i didn't know those details, I knew two woman were out of the car and one was eaten and the other survived. Someone else got out of a car to try and help, and wasn't injured, was that hte father?

I also hope the tigers aren't harmed in any way for following their natural instincts.

apple1992 · 24/07/2016 17:52

I also hope the tiger wasn't/shouldn't be killed for this. Not its fault..

NickNacks · 24/07/2016 17:53

I've just seen footage. Sad

mrsfuzzy · 24/07/2016 17:53

i feel sorry for the tigers, some people are just plain stupid.

I understand you point of view but without captive breeding and release programmes, gorillas and tigers would be extinct in the wild, and without teaching them wild behaviour, the captive bred individuals wouldn't survive in the wild, and without the paying public, such programmes wouldn't be funded.

How terrible for the woman and her family
What a stupid thing todo

Longlost10 · 24/07/2016 17:58

What sort of computer does that mirror home page ever work on? Certainly none that I know

Grassgreendashhabi · 24/07/2016 17:58

You can see it on YouTube. It's not nice though

I thought the tigers were shot. Is that right? I hope not, but if they were eating people I can't imaging the rangers had any choice

MojitoJo · 24/07/2016 18:07

The thing is the way she leaves the car and walks around it does not strike me as someone who is very, very angry (or angry enough to get out of your car in the tiger enclosure). She clearly has a limp which might explain her slower walk but I think you would have to be fucking furious to get out of a car. People who are that angry would throw the door open and then slam it with considerable force and she just doesn't. It's horribly tragic but the footage doesn't match the story for some reason. I wonder what on earth happened in that car. Sad. Horrible to read there was a child in the car who witnessed this.

bibbitybobbityyhat · 24/07/2016 18:10

I really do find it pretty bloody strange that people would seek out this footage! Who wants to see it? It's morbid. Surely the words say everything?

apple1992 · 24/07/2016 18:21

Bibbity - morbid curiosity!

No doubt there is more to the story. Unlikely we'll find out.. I agree she doesn't look like she's stormed out.

Longlost10 · 24/07/2016 18:24

I wasn't seeking out the footage at all, just the words, but the mirror website is just unworkable on any of my home or work computers, you can't even read it. However, from what other people are saying, it doesn't sound like the picture I had in my head, of some poor abused woman doing something totally irrational to get away from abuse in the car.

Awful awful thing though, for everybody, poor child.

I do still want to know if the tigers were shot, I guess they were,

poor animals

OP posts:
RortyCrankle · 24/07/2016 19:54

Well it's entirely the fault of the idiotic woman. Hope none of the tigers were shot. If so yet more unnecessary deaths because of actions by ridiculous humans.

Cocolepew · 24/07/2016 19:59

I just watched this, so bizarre.

Inkanta · 24/07/2016 20:00

I cannot watch that footage - although I'm aware it's prominent in all news updates. I don't think we should be able to watch this terrible real life death. Poor family.
