I watched the Royle Family Christmas special last week, it was the one where Denise and Dave were hosting and it was so funny, she had prefect comic timing.

So sad.

I love The Royle Family!! Such a shame Sad

Why are all the wonderful and talented people leaving us? Cancer is the devil's advocate, especially for 2016!

What? No way!

I was just thinking about her this week are watching 'born on the same day' with Ricky Tomlinson. She specifically wanted him for the role in The Royle Family.

What a talent. So sad.

Very sad, her Mrs Merton quip to Debbie McGee still makes me laugh.

I loved her, Denise Royle :-( that's nana, Denise and Twiggy gone :-(

RIP She was so talented as both an actress and a writer. I remember she battled serious depression too.

Just a thought but they were always smoking on set, I do wonder if this might have added to her health problems.

Such a talented woman. She was flawed, human and brilliant. What a terrible loss.

Herat - I lost my mum to lung cancer. She never smoked a cigarette ever or did anyone in the family.

What a dismissive comment to make!

So so sad what a talent. I think her cancer was a rare form unrelated to her smoking, she had had cancer as a child too I recall her being interviewed a while ago about it.

Rip

Yes, it was related to her retinoblastoma she had as a baby. So sad. I loved her on The Fast Show as well.

Aw, so sad. She was diagnosed a long time ago, iirc shortly after coming out of rehab, she was an alcoholic.
My friend started work at the BBC at the same time before CA was famous, she was known for being a right laugh even in the offices.
My favourite sketch was the weather forecast, scorchio.
May she RIP x

"Very sad, her Mrs Merton quip to Debbie McGee still makes me laugh."

It was incredibly bitchy tbh. She served up some has-beens and never-weres and was rude to them using an act.

Well she's gone now Mamamea so you can make as many nasty comments about herknowing, she has no come back.

Which is what she didn't do to the "has-beens and never-weres" who were paid to go on her show and traded on their infamy. Angry
