EU position unchanged - Turkey must meet benchmarks before visa free travel

I haven't seen it in the news but the EU Parliament Conference of Presidents has not changed it's position - there will be no shortcut & Turkey must fulfil all the benchmarks agreed before visa free travel can go ahead. See EU press release;

Weird after the UK press reported the Commission was proposing to go ahead with visa liberalisation if they haven't bothered to tell us about the outcome.
