There shouldn't be any possibility of Levi Bellfield getting parole - EVER!

I just read that the reason this creature has suddenly detailed what he did to Milly Dowler is that he hopes it will lead to him getting parole at some point. At the moment he has a life sentence for her along with the murders of several other young ladies with no chance of parole. There is a possibility that at some point European judges could allow for potential parole in life sentence on human rights grounds.

Apparently, "Strasbourg judges ruled in 2013 that a tariff which forces murderers to die in jail was “inhuman and degrading” following an appeal by three killers including Jeremy Bamber, who shot dead five members of his family in 1985."

I think this is nuts. I don't understand why keeping someone in prison for life is against their human rights if they have committed very serious crimes. Also, allowing Bellfield or other serial killers out would not only be potentially dangerous to the public but it would mean an end to his punishment which I disagree with. He took several lives and tortured and raped. His punishment should be that he dies in jail. That should be the least of his suffering.

It's crazy isn't it. Those poor girls and their families. I hope he rots in hell forever, evil piece of scum.

I'm not sure whether Whole Life Tariffs are still a thing, but they were surely designed for individuals like this.

'Inhuman and degrading'

Yeah.....and? Surely that's the point?

I assume it means he would have to be be considered for parole, not that he would get it.
It would still be awful for the families who should not have to deal with it even being a possibility but is there really any chance he would get it?

I read some of the detail in the Guardian today and felt sick to my stomach. That poor girl - she must have been through pure hell in her final hours. And what her family are going through is beyond imagining.

He should never, ever even be considered for release. What he did to Milly, but also how he behaved towards the police - turning his back on officers in interviews, insisting on disclosing the most disturbing details to only female officers - show that he feels no remorse and no empathy for anyone. It would never be worth the risk to the general public. He should rot in jail forever and I hope the rest of his life is hell for him

Also, the way Milly Dowler's family have been treated (by the police, prosecution and press) you would think they would be the ones talking about their human rights and how they have been ridden over roughshod.
