I keep checking for an update but nothing that I've seen. So sad for the family.

Me too, so bizarre, the clip,of her walking showed her walking in a robotic way, quite fast and apparently she done that for eleven miles, but had put on her coat and appropriate footwear! Even if it was sleepwalking 11 miles in the cold without your body waking up and realising you aren't at home is such a long time

It's very strange, not an easy walking route from Ponteland to the Quayside never mind the actual distance. Unfortunately I think she must be in the Tyne, nothing else really makes sense

That's a weird FB page. Why so much bickering?

Report
stayathomegardener · 02/01/2016 18:06

That is misleading, the footage of her walking is speeded up, when you watch the normal speed video Sally appears to be tired but still walking with a purpose.

I'm on the FB group too, I agree the bickering is rather odd. Hope she is found soon, her poor family.

Not on FB ... what on earth are people finding to bicker about, the poor lady is missing!

MumOnTheRunCatchingUp · 02/01/2016 22:38

Really really odd!

Lots of people accusing other people of playing detectives. Really odd.

How weird. I can't imagine what the family are going through.

So she covered 11 miles in 3 hours?

Its a very odd video but if it is sped up then that makes it less odd (within the confines of this mystery of course).

Initially watching it and the way she was walking made me wonder whether she had had some sort of brain episode.

Average walking speed is 4mph so to a seasoned walker 11 miles in three hours is certainly normal. 3am and no explaination why is not normal.

Sadly I think she has kept walking til she has reached the coast.

Is there any more CCTV coverage? Its weird that there is nothing more - its a very long quayside with bars and shops, so there must be more coverage, even if she wasnt on it. At least then it can be clarified "the next camera along showed nothing" - narrows things down a bit.

Though actually the Police may well know that, I suppose the public dont need to.

This is a very very sad case and I hope she is found soon.

There will be a lot more information that cannot be shared with the public, for example family circumstances, whether she normally walked in that manner and so on

What we need to focus on is whether any of us has seen her. That's all they need from us.

I really feel for her family, it's such an awful situation.
I would've thought there'd be more CCTV around the Quayside.

Report
gingerboy1912 · 03/01/2016 10:13

There does seem to be a lack of information on family circumstances, it did say it wasn't unusual for her to get up in the night to make a drink but other than that we don't know anything, was she on medication, does she drink, etc

It's none of our business - I'm sure the police are onto it.
