I ask that due to the lack of tributes on here.
If some militant trade unionist croaks the Mumsnet board gets an outpouring of grief similar to those emotions in North Korea, when a geezer with a family name of Kim passes on.
I remembered Healey as Chancellor from the 1970’s as being trustworthy and meant well during very difficult times, but of course when he had to call in the IMF to financially bail the UK out - the spending cuts needed as a condition of the IMF loan didn't go down well with the faithful.
I think it sad that few seem to realise his contribution to the Labour movement (IMO), but feel somewhat relieved that same movement treats every politician (of whatever colour) the same, that has to do what is right in order to balance the UK's books.
