What were they thinking? New Guardian website

I hate it. I really really hate it. It is ugly and messy. You can't see enough of the page at a time so you are constantly scrolling. The spaces on either side of the page make it look like it hasn't loaded properly. It is making me cross every time I look at it.

its shite
too much blank space, too little content

Yep totally agree

They were rolling out pages incrementally and every time I saw one I'd click on another just to get back to old view

Worst thing is the comments are difficult to find, difficult to load and difficult to see recommends

Mass guardian feedback anyone?!

Or maybe we are just a bunch of whiny goats who don't like change (remember the MN page change just a few months ago?!!)

I've just been reading the guardian online now and didn't realise that they'd changed the website. I just thought there was something wrong with it today.

I agree. Its terrible!

It's basically a desktop-isation of the mobile app. I guess as Windows 8 / touchscreen takes hold on the desktop this will become more prevalent.

Queen Very true, I do hate change!
But I do need the Guardian so I can balance out the many hours minutes of reading about MILs, bridesmaids and baby names on here with an occasional bit of politics or world news.

Dislike, dislike, dislike. Hadn't been reading using the app because it looked shite and now they've done the same to the desktop. Not impressed.
