when i was 4 we were in portugal on holidays, we were walking through the car park of a neighbouring hotel and i heard crying so i told my dad.... after searching for a few mins we realised that there was a little kid, about 1/2 locked in a car with all the windows up, parked in the sirect sunlight in 30+ degree heat. we went straight to the hotel lobby and reported it and the police came and smashed the window to get him out. they said he'd only have survived another 30mins or so if he hadn't been found.... the parents turned up drunk 4 hours later used to have nightmares about his little face for years.

Why do these people just not think? Poor little one; at least no harm came to him in the end.

that's disgusting that is, don't think i'd want my mum loking after Joey if she ever did that, I take him out the car even if i've parked up outside the cashpoint machine and run over to it - better to be safe for the extra 5 mins getting in/out of the car.

And here, a woman left her son in the car while she went into court for a hearing about not sending him to school. he's 10 and has only been once since Easter.
Not too bad.....until you read the judge actually jailed her and he was in the car on his own for more than 4 hours.
