Gunpoint robbery in Central London.

Tony Blair's daughter has been held up at gunpoint in Central London. At the moment there is no reason to believe that the suspects knew who she was. When the police find the culprits I sincerely hope that they throw the book at them. We can't have people running around pointing guns at pedestrians, for God's sake. This is totally unacceptable. Hand grenades in Manchester and now this. Are our police forces losing the plot?

I have been held up at gun point. It happens. It's not a sign of anything, it's always happened.

London has a population of 10 million and is pretty bloody safe compared to many many many other places.

Incidentally if you want get outraged about audacious villains watch this

Was anyone hurt in the incident with tony blair's daughter?

Meditrina's point is an excellent one.

Who she was? She isn't anybody. She's a private citizen who was mugged like many people are. Gun crime is a fact of life in the UK and has been for some time. This is nothing new. How many other 20 something weer mugged in London yesterday without making international news?

Ironic considering that family live very well off the proceeds of war crimes.
And agreed, Meditrina.

Well, I hope they "throw the book at them" in exactly the same way I would hope they do for any other similar crime involving a member of the public. Why does Tony Blair's daughter deserve better justice than any of the rest of us?

Personally I'd far rather the 'book' was thrown at murdering, war crime committing profiteers.

Its unacceptable for it to happen to anyone. Why are the police forces losing the plot? That makes no sense.

You can't blame the sins of the father on the daughter.

Yes, it's a coincidence it happened to her and just shows it can happen anywhere to anyone.

Gun crime in London happens a lot. It and a lot of other crimes happen everywhere else in the world too.

Won't stop me going out....

Are our police forces losing the plot?

No, but we are losing our budget.

I was held up inappropriate bank by a bloke with a gun who threatened to shoot me three tim see unless I gave him my money.

I called his bluff.

On the official police record...im listed as a witness to someone else getting robbed even though I didn't see it.

The police knew who had done it, got his car, got him on cctv.....didn't go to court though.

Personally I'll be pissed off if she gets resources thrown at her because of who berry dad is.
