I agree more choice is a good thing but I resent the fact that to save money my local maternity hospital unit was closed and replaced with a midwfie-led birthing centre. Therefore meaning that to get an epidural, c-section etc I have to travel 40 minutes to the next nearest hospital. I would rather every hospital offered a full service than more birthing units and more midwifes encouraging you to birth at home. Is it just me?!!
