I assume (hope) he's just leading his pursuers up the garden path and has secretly taken a flight somewhere else.

I hope he gets to a country that wont comply with the USA. He needs protection.

Well, he got as far as Russia, didn't he? And there's no hurry for him to go anywhere else.

I should imagine the relevant spooky authorities there are very good at keeping people's whereabouts secret and feeding disinformation to the press. Maybe he's staying there. Or maybe he'll crop up somewhere else, when the press isn't paying so much attention. Possibly travelling on a Russian passport, to avoid a travel booking in his own name.

I dont think he planned to get on that plane at all. It was a decoy for the press/governments. Why would you tell everyone where you are going if you are a wanted man ?
I think hes already on his way somewhere else. I doubt he is still in Russia but its possible. If I had to , Id pick Iceland since he can claim asylum there if he goes in person.

I did think that as well Coffee, why let everyone know where he was going? I think (and hope) he has deliberately disappeared, hopefully with a countries help.

He'll need help, since the US has annulled his passport. Hope he is somewhere safe.

I hope so too, I keep checking the news to see what has happened to him as he really could get captured or killed

There is a good chance he has either left already or he is getting 'debriefed' by the Russians before they let him go
