I was really moved by hearing this story in the news.

A teacher who had been working at the International School of Qatar suffered bullying from the students because of his ethnic origin. The students then accused him of insulting islam, and he has been falsely imprisoned.

''For those who know him as a colleague, a mentor, a teacher and a friend, Dorje Gurung epitomizes a heartfelt commitment to international understanding, respect for different cultures, social awareness and education.''

The teacher who is from Nepal, won scholorships to study abroad, and has since worked all around the world as a teacher, had been saving money to start a school for disadvantaged Nepalese. He was just about to return to Nepal when he was arrested. He has his own blog where he writes of teaching chemistry and his dream of setting up a school. Please sign petition and share with all your friends.
