The great man retires. What a legend and what a role model for young people.

So glad to see he has gone out right at the top of his sport. He says he got every last drop of his ability out last year in London, didn't think he could do it again at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow as the Olympics and taken too much out of him and didn't want to turn up just to get a track suit and wave to fans. Good decision.

Such a sad announcement. I wanted to see him at the games in Glasgow next year.

I do wonder what would have hapened if he had gone onto 2016 to compete at age 42.

I never expected him to go to brazil but I did hope he would mange Glasgow next year.
