no the article just says that she is breastfeeding - which is a good thing, especially as scientology says not too

Good for her. Scientology is weird if prohibits breastfeeding (and for other reasons too).

DaddyCool · 26/04/2006 12:33

oh i see. scientology if weird beyond belief.

Well he is an arse and she is a bigger arse for not saying Fuck off do you mean you believe in a religeon where I have to stay silent during labour and can;t have anything other than your lovely religeon telling me there is nothing wrong with me when I get the baby blues or severe depression!!!

What's supposed to be wrong with bm? Is buying milk for babies another Scientology moneyspinner or do they have shares in youknowwho? Wink

congratulations to the pair of them on the birth of their lovely daughter Suri, may she bring them lots of joy and happiness.

I think they are probably anti-bf as the child is taken away from it's mother at some point and other women in their 'community' help raise it.
I believe.

allegedly.

yes i wish there was a scientologist on here who could tell us whether all these alledged practices are in fact real.

I did see a scientologist lady on breakfast news a while ago who was saying that actually they don't try and force women to be quiet during labour... they're encouraged to make as little noise as possible, but that obviously it varies...

I feel sorry for Katie... she quite clearly ISN'T being brainwashed into doing everything Tom believes in, and yet she still gets slated. SHe's just had a bloody baby fgs, leave her alone!
she made noise, she had an epidural, she breastfeeds... SO BLOODY WHAT??????

Is it true that the TomKat baby was born the same day as Brooke Shields'? How weird is that?

(Suggested on a gossip site that Suri's appearance was hurried along to steal the limelight...)

Good snide bit \link{http://www.jossip.com/gossip/brooke-shields/tom-and-katies-baby-shadows-little-shields-20060419.php\here}.

Grier Hammond? What were they thinking???

just googled scientology and breastfeeding and the first result is from a woman who has left the "religion". She said:
"Our daughter was born, and I was pressured to obey LRH's preference of no breastfeeding of babies. I went so far as to write him personally and query his position, but he reiterated his preference. Our daughter's front baby teeth were destroyed by LRH's baby formula which required barley water, milk, and corn syrup."

So L ROn Hubbard does have a recipe for baby milk - breastmilk has "toxins" in it apparently.

we get hilarious scientology stuff through our door as a previous tenant was one, or they were in the process of "getting" her!

the main uk base is not far from here and we get hand written letters every few weeks inviting her to go over! lol

"She breast-feeds" - he doesn't say who - she could be feeding him Grin

Glad to see one bit of scientology crap isn't being adhered to - taking the baby away from the Mum for the first week.

Mission Impossible is exactly the kind of mindless film I would want to see for an unchallenging night out. However, I don't know if I will be able to watch it without imagining the Oprah show. I accept that most big movie stars are nuts and that you can't believe most of what you read in the newspapers, but Tom Cruise actively promotes this rubbish.

Glad that she is bf though.

I thought she was still pg. Enormously. Did she end up using that pacifier during labour, I wonder?
