I was talking about this today with another mumsnetter! I agree it is lovely news. I really felt for them both when Jennifer died. Any name yet?

My eyes welled up when I heard this on the radio tonight - I don't normally pay much attention to 'celeb' stories, but Gorden touched my heart with some of his tributes to their daughter. Great news if your there Gordon

That's really lovely to hear. I remember them losing their daughter and feeling very sad for them when the tributes were being given by Gordon Brown.

I was so happy for them too, I confess I wept buckets this afternoon. The feeling of bringing a baby into the world safe and sound after losing one is a very particular one (I was feeding dd at the time and gave her an extra special squeeze). Well done Gordon and Sarah and let's have a name for him soon!

I had a tear or two in my eyes when I heard the news while in the car today. It's so lovely to hear something happy on the news.

I was so happy for them. I remember Gordon Brown coming out of the hospital the day Jennifer Jane was born, and he just couldn't keep the smile off his face. (Wouldn't it be funny if a birth announcement appeared in a day or two on mumsnet!).

Hadn't heard that news so thanks for sharing it with us. How they must be feeling right now!
I've gone all goose pimpley just thinking about it. DH thinks I've gone very soppy since ds was born, and I guess he's right.

Wonderful news, it was so sad. How about a "virtual book" on the name? I vote Angus

Was really pleased to see the news about their healthy son. Never been through what they did but as a parent realise how traumatic it must have been for them. Wishing them lots of good health. x

I just saw this on yahoo and it brought tears to my eyes too. Ds2 was a few weeks old when they lost their little girl and I remember crying in the register office when I went to register his birth, as I was reading a leaflet about how you had to register a baby's death and was thinking about Gordon and Sarah Brown having to do that, when it should have been such a joyous time for them.

I am really really happy for them. And for Sophie Wessex - she's having hers soon.

Wonderful wonderful news.
