Is this getting much coverage in the UK?

Here in the US it's almost continuous TV coverage; well the news bulletins cover little else and I'm in California.

Quite a bit Sue - it was the lead on BBC News 24 yesterday. It's pretty shocking, the flood waters seem to have taken everyone by surprise. Those poor people. Freak weather seems to be becoming more common (that doesn't make sense does it but you know what I mean).

Co-incidentally we were watching 'The Day after Tomorrow' yesterday, bit extreme but it got me thinking about it even more.

We have had a lot of coverage this morning. Those poor people, how awful, it looks as if hundrads of peple have been killed, and as always seems to happen it is the poorest people who have been the worst hit

Its really scary isn't it. DH's cousin lives in New Orleans. He can't get in touch with them so we have to hope all is well. I can't believe the devastation.
