Anyone got a Potterton timer for their central heating?

Our landlord has lost the instructions. He gave us a quick demo on how to work it and have it set up morning and night but it doesn't work at weekends. Also need it to come on during the day. I need some help with it.

Can't find the instructions online.

Thanks

We have an EP2001 digital timer on ours, is it the same one? The Prog key goes through each time set then you use up and down arrows to change it. We can set the time differently for weekdays and weekends. Do you need to set the water the same as CH , our CH won't come on independent of the water but water can be independent of CH iyswim.

Ours is EP2002. Have to have CH and HW on to have heating but water will come on independently like yours.

I have ours set to come on morning and night mon-fri but don't know if it can be set for an hour around 4 and it doesn't come on at weekends. We have a 3 year old and 1 year old so always get up at the same time anyway.

It is driving me mad.

The landlord hasn't a clue how to use it. He stood there squinting at the display.

If you go through the Mon to Fri times(Prog then Step) then press Step again it should show Sat & Sun. We can only have 2 on/offs per day. Advance starts it up and it stays on until the next Off time.

Thanks for that. Got the weekends sorted.

Looks like ours can only be set to come on automatically twice a day too. Its a nuisance. I prefer the older non-digital one that could be set to come on and off all day.

Do you mean a Potterton gas boiler? I can't help I'm afraid, but we have that boiler and the gas man said definitely have carbon monoxide detectors. They are 99% fine, but if there is damage etc. to the seals, the have been known to leak gas. (Mostly the older boilers). I don't want to post this to worry you, but want to pass on the message

The manal is available at this website. Took me ages to find but our landlord didn't have it either.

I'm a bloke not a mum but have 3 kids non the less (MKI marriage) so half qualify.

Just to say thanks to the poster of the User guide for the EP2002, finding a copy of this was like pulling hens teeth. Just what I needed to set my 90 year old mother in law's controller. Now off to find the installation manual and the replacement controller (the EP2) which may hopefully, once fitted, be nonagenarian proof !

Thanks for this though.
