Off to soft play this morning as weather not looking good. am feeling very tired too and a bit under the weather myself metaphorically speaking!
So, to do:

parcel something up to a friend
painting hedgehogs with dc with leaves (tried it, Tea? I'll let you know!)
Perhaps go to MIL's - we are having a bit of a silent feud atm. I think even she has noticed my silence as left a msg on answerphone saying she was free and at home today - unheard of. It's a long story and I think I am probably overreacting, I'll fill you in later!

Morning all DH back to school Yipee! Back to normal services. House in a total mess and so it should be, kids needs to be with friends on the beach or a field, not waiting for mum to finish hoovering!
Ds's friend coming over for a play date all morning. Friend's mum will be running away for much deserved 'me' time. She took Ds last week for DH, I was at work!

Must give Ds breakfast and will be back later.

raining here so sadly the washing that I did overnight is having to go on the radiators
loads of ironing to do
going to take the boys to soft play this afternoon
kitchen looks like a bombsite so am going to start there
DS1's bedroom looks like there has been a lego explosion overnight so after the kitchen we are going in there.

feeling a bit glum today so need to motivate myself.

Just started making a list on paper but it is sooo long that it is frightening.

Children have gone back to school this morning [mixed feelings about this - but a small yippee followed by a sad sigh]

dd was dressed at 7.15 already to go
ds2 was in denial and started building a Hornby track from scratch at 7.00
ds1 insisted I write a letter to his teacher saying that no school work could be done at all, just chatting and reading (his wrist is in plaster)

waterbottles and so far empty knapsacks all sent with them. Can't find dd's heavy duty school shoes but luckily she had another pair of black ones which will do for today. [Minor panic]

Simply - did you have a good camping holiday earlier - don't think I was posting thereabouts.
"Electric car" is full of wonderful collage ideas isn't it? I think ds2 might love doing a hedgehog of leaves too.
Where was your holiday EHM?
My childhood was spent picking blackberries, and eating enormous quantities of stewed blackberry and apple TM.

Washing - About 4 loads but I suspect the drying may be a problem.
To post office to post some letters
Sort out book shelves and computer space to get some space for studying.
Books to charity shop
3 huge boxes full of papers, cans and bottles to recycling.

Yay, rain has stopped and the sun is out so the 2nd load of washing is outside.

the boys are watching tv but it is the last day of the holidays so hey I am not too worried.

Have tiedied the lego mountain in DS1's room and beds are made,

need to tackle the kitchen but am going to do that whilst the boys are having their lunch.
then I just need to hoover round.

Hi again.

Lots of DC back to school and lots of flying happening it seems .

Not Here!

Been to IKEA (it seems to have doubled in size since i last went, walked for miles!)and soft play (DS a big fan, DD not keen). Back just in time to rescue washing from line.

Think I have another cold brewing . Feeling grumpy have spent all day shouting then appologising (dc now wisely making themselves scarce!).

anyway just washed stain out of pillow and then went to tackle the washing machine. OMG I pulled back the seal and it was absolutely dire., no wonder I had been thinking the washing does not smell fresh and dsepite running a couple of hot washes. The house we have is rented so it is not my doing honestly (but ewwwwww).
I have posed a pic on my profile less me I am not being unreasonable when I say this is horrid.

yuk leo that sounds horrid indeed! Put a couple of cycles of bleach through the wash and scrub the seal - did you check the bit above the powder drawer for black mouldy stuff too?
hedgehog leaf prints done, stick it together tomorrow. Also did bubble painting too - messy but fun. Have assembled jungle adventure set for dc who are playing nicely (phew) for once. OMG DS is hard work these last few days, will NOT do as he is asked, just downright naughty!

Leo seen worse How do you get rid of the black mouldy stuff? Because our machine is in a very small room ha ha (cupboard really) it has no ventilation so the black mould is there. Tried bleach without success!

star I just scrubbed the seal and the machine with water and bleach and lots of elbow grease.
That stuff in the pics was just what came out with my gloves the rest of it went on the sponge and in a bowl of water with bleach added. It is currently running on a hot cyle with bleach in the drawer and the drum to make sure its clean.
The problem I have is that my dc's esp. ds1 have eczema and I think the mould was making it worse now I just need to make sure the bleach is out of the machine before I run a wash.
wendy what are hedgehog leaf thingies they sound interesting.
I have pretty much finished everyting on my list so now some tv and then hopefully some studying.
