Morning.
Feeling after seeing thread in bereavement about Trinity Rhino's DH. I know some FLYers will know her from previous FLY threads.

Anything else kind of feels trivial now.

Need to get DD's school shoes today. Been sneezing almost non stop since i woke up.

BBL.

Hi all
I have the wine flu
Went to a party last night and didn't get home til 10.30 so kids are knackered and whingey, too. I drank too much wine and ate not enough food - cue a migraine in the night and now a headache. Lovely DH let me sleep til 10 this morning though.
That's sad, Tort, didn't know her but that doesn't matter.
Not sure what we're up to today

Having a good clear out. Any FLY peeps interested in K'nex? Have 3 tubs to sell.

Bedroom swap over is going well and DS1's 'new' room is all painted.

DD's have a bit more space than they had in the smaller room.

Hi all.

Yery sad for Trinity Rhino and her family.

star and wendy I am of your party lifestyles .

tea we have been making puppets today, inspired by you and your fab craftyness .

Today:
Been to town to buy more wool (hat finished, scarf next ) and to return left behind lib book.
Have made puppets with dd and a sleep charm (lavendar bag) with ds (he is into all things Merlin).

DH has been hanging doors (he is becoming obsessive), he has just said something about going mad with the planer and sanding all the doorframes (OMG). Luckily I have signed up for Tai chi classes in Sept so will remain Zen like at all times .

Right, off to sweep up sawdust (any craft ideas for sawdust Tea?)

Hi All

Been a mad week here so only just got time to post. Been on holiday for a few days at beginning of week and then out and about for last few days.

Had a great day out yesterday. Treated DD to a bear from Bear workshop for finally stopping using her dummies and had her first day out on a tram as she is obsessed about them - She loved it. Stopped off at soft play on way back so no work done yesterday.

Had a friend of DDs round today so finally managed to get some of my assignment done.

Also done

2 x washing and drying
Weekly shop
made fresh bread rolls and now cooking a joint of ham for possible picnic tomorrow
General tidy in lounge (although can't tell now two pre-schoolers have been in there

Am considering signing up for a sign language course but not sure if I can fit in with childcare course, spanish course, DD and volunteering in school in September so I'm off to read up on prospectus.

Hope everyone has a good weekend.

Just a quicky, but scatty I do have an idea for you. How about dieing the sawdust different colours - pop in a platic bag with some food colour and shake. Allow to dry and then use to glue on and make colarge

SAWDUST AND SOAP CLAY
1 1/2 cups sawdust
1 1/2 cups soap flakes (if you can't find soap flakes at the store, make some by shredding a bar of Ivory soap into flakes).
water
Mix water and soap flakes to make a thick mixture. Whip the soap until fluffy and stiff. Add the sawdust. Model the mixture into shapes and let dry for a few days.

Add the sawdust to paper mache to make a different texture and make masks

See I should have been an preschool art teacher!!!

HELLO EVERYONE back again from hols in Eire with relations. Not quite sure where to start really..
Lots of wind rain and housekeeping Lakeside life par excellence - only blip was ds1 broke his wrist (trampoline with cousins after four days, so we were a bit worried about him falling in the lake and havng to drive back to the plastering orthopaedic unit which was 2 hours away...Anyway that is merely by the by.

Managed a bit of most of the things I planned for holidays - bit of craft, bit of reading with kids, scrapbooking, outdoor life, time with cousins, long walks, bit of maths and handwriting (not much but a smidgen

Did not manage research projects with kids however one of my more fanciful ideas, think they were not QUITE bored enough.

only wish hols were a bit longer - want to enjoy London now and go on some visits but only three days left before school aagh.

Garden looks completely dried up (teenage cat sitter is not very clued up)Cat is in excellent form though which is what matters.
A dried up cat would be truly awful.

welcome back swan
Hi everyone else
I am over my wine flu and have had a good day just pottering around. Off to the Zoo tomorrow, already made the picnic, may go and pack the rucksack now and get the flask out! I am feeling alarmingly positive today. I have had a quiet week this week, though, not much in the way of trips, outings etc, lots of playing at home - think I feel better for it!
Also seen lots of friends of mine the last fortnight, and spoken to them on the phone etc, so feeling more like me and less like Mummy ifkwim. You all know
Hope to see you all tomorrow lovelies
