Can anyone help me with colour scheme ideas for....

....our living room?

So far, we have white sofas, antique pine fire surround and shelving. That's it! It's pretty small and not very sunny, we need to choose paint, carpet, curtains, cushions - the lot!

I am finding that the choice is too much to help decide, but like blue/grey pallettes much more than brown and cream type ones.

Can anyone help? or recommend some websites to browse, or something?

We are going to be selling soon, so nothing too controversial please!

Any views much appreciated!

What about Blue Gray on this site for the walls - wish we'd done our living room in something similar, and keep noticing it in magazines and on tv.

I wouldn't have a clue about the carpet to go with this though, but you could accessorise with cushions with the same colour in them.

I don't think I'm being much help really I just love that colour!

That's nice MBM, I agree it's a fab colour... maybe a wee bit too dark? Cushions in the same? Or bluer, or something?

Mmm, definitely like duck-egg blue too,

agree it might be a bit cold... I'm a bit rubbish with colours, I'm afraid - good suggestions thanks everyone!

We have Pale Powder in our kitchen, is a really pretty colour although it doesn't look like it really is on the website. Is a very pretty delicate green colour.

Something like that, or duck egg blue (lovely ), would work very well with a cream carpet - we have that in our bedroom, and it's an 'oasis of calm' as I like to describe it! They have lovely cushions here that would combine the two colours - would look gorgeous! They also have lovely curtains there, but quite expensive, unless you happen to get them in the sale, which I don't think is on now . You could get a good idea of what you might want though!
