Waiting for shopping to be delivered.

tort Exciting bout the bears. Dd 2's bday is in a couple of weeks too. Icheated in the end - she has the lil lovables bear stuffing machine, and I found skins for that reduced to £2.00 each so I got 10 of those, and am doing other crafty bits too (beads for jewelery, decorating own party bags, icing buns) as well as party games so that should work I hope! I need to print up some invitations for her today!
gib hope girls enjoy riding and dancing.

Well its actually sunny here - first time in 2 days so have washing out YAYT not sure how long it will last though!

Done:
Mission from yestaerday (hoovering)
wiped down lounge window frames
cleaned lounge windows
cleaned woodwork in lounge
polished lounge furniture

Also :
one load washing done and hung out, next load in
morning routine (just need to S&S upstairs bathroom)

To do:
Baking : have some apples, pears and banans to use up....thinking banana choc chip muffins , and apple and pear crumble)
Sort out understairs kitchen cupboard (in a mess again!!)

Galen That sounds like a good idea. Why didn't i think of that! lol! Would have been cheaper i bet!
Am . Just got an email about the bears. Says items dispached and will arrive no later than thursday! Do they really mean tomorrow or next week?! Will be great if they get here tomorrow. And worth the expensive delivery charge!

I should go and do the kitchen floor shouldn't i?!

Going to need to do lots of clearing up before the party.

Hello

Very of those with nice weather...raining and chilly here

I have just looked out and realised my new plastic tomato greenhouse thing has a big hole ripped in the top of it!
Not sure how that has happened...I bet it was a cat or something though...sigh...
That'll teach me to buy something cheap and cheerful...or not so cheerful in this case!

Good luck with the party Tort how long is it...two weeks?

Greyskull I love your photos, your boys are gorgeous! Your Christmas Tree was fab too...and what a great looking fireplace!....very

I am contemplating getting all my kitchen appliances insured. My neighbour has just done it and already someone has fixed her washing machine and replaced her old dishwasher with a new one!
Its from £14.95 a month...and as ALL my appliances are on their way out I'm seriously tempted!

Report
gibbberish · 29/04/2009 12:48

luda what a shame about your tomato greenhouse. Such a nuisance!

What company is the appliance insurance with? Have been thinking about it too as all of ours are now out of guarantee.

Dinner is on - found some veg and chicken in the freezer so a curry it is. Trying the 'no boil' method with the rice and it seems to be working!

dd2 had great riding lesson - did loads of cantering. Will be doing more jumping from next week. Worry about them jumping...

gibb its with British Gas...scatty hmmm...I tend to agree with you, but my neighbour has done really well for some reason.

She joined the scheme last month and within a week of her signing up her door came loose on the washing machine, so someone came out to fix it, then just last week her dishwasher started playing up. Someone came out to look and decided it would be cheaper to replace it. She then received a £205 voucher which she had to spend in Comet to replace the old one. She actually chose one slightly more expensive and made up the difference....is being delivered free of charge next week!

I've been trawling through the small print and it all seems ok....

Still slightly though...I'll see what DH thinks

gibbberish · 29/04/2009 13:09

Not overly impressed with the 'no boil' rice - didn't absorb all the water and was a bit hard. Wonder what I did wrong

Right have 3hrs to spare. What shall I do? Think I might have a mooch around house to find things I can sell on ebay.

Report
Tortoise · 29/04/2009 13:19

Luda Shame about the greenhouse. I got ocver for my DW after it had gone wrong! Fixed for free though. Meant to cancel it but maybe worth keeping.
DD1 is 6 on the 17th May. Party will be the day before.

Prof Yes i think it was the same company. All having the same bear so should be ok. She chose the 12 inch one with glow in the dark heart on it. One of the cheapest i think.
I was going to do the plain white t-shirts for them to decorate but it put the ££ up too much.

Ebay stuff parceled up. Still waiting for 4 payment. One of those being sent in post and one an echeque. So really only 2 waiting!

EHM Pants about the house sale - what is happening about the cat?

Yes we will meet you at 10am on Sunday and I am sure the boys would love lunch, but we will see how good they are . I am hoping the weather is good as DH will be building raised beds for my veggies over this weekend.

Tort I think I will steal your T/Shirt idea and look for some reallt cheep white ones in the sale for both boys birthdays next year, as we have some fabric paint.

Gib Nice long done list.

I have teak oiled some furniture in the garden whilst the boys have played in the water table - I put washing up liquid and warm water in it for them. They are now chilling in their dressing gowns and I am going to do a snack of fruit for them.

Off again to take dd3 and dd4 to dancing. Will hopefully get back on again tonight!
