Ooh I'd lost you all there!

I'm in panic mode as MIL and GMIL are coming for coffee in 50 minutes and I haven't even had a shower yet because I've been frantically tidying and cleaning. Also, DS has decided not to have a nap so will either fall asleep as they walk through the door or be grumpy and cry and only want to BF - which will get grumbled at - baaaahhhhhh.

Bloody DH was meant to be working from home but has just charged off for a meeting.

Do you think I can hide and pretend not to hear the door???

DONE
Tidy living room
Tidy kitchen
Clean kitchen
Hoover whole downstairs
Sort post pile
Dust downstairs
Take out bin
Breakfast x 3
DS dressed in item bought by MIL

TO DO
Clean myself
Persuade my son to sleep
Panic
Get out cake - shop bought

Grr at MIL and GMIL grumbling at BFing.

(I suppose it is a bit boring if you go to see a baby and that's all it wants to do, but still)

TA I know it's boring and I do sympathise to some extent, but he's not a performing animal and I do sometimes feel that he's expected to put on a good show!

Report
TrillianAstra · 15/04/2009 11:02

I know, I was on your side, with just a teeny tiny bit of sympathy for them. Anyway, babies are boring, they don't do anything, they should be coming to visit you! You talk and have opinions and stuff and are generally much more interesting!

Thanks for the reminder TA, I had my Christmas name til nearly the end of January. Back to the usual.

I wildly underestimated how long it would take to do everything, and I suspect this is a cause of my usual slatternliness. Still, racking up the dones.

My wool has arrived! And I stood up to the silly mean postman. After I dumped the big bag of 'not at this address' envelopes in the postbox the other week, I've been waiting for him to mention it, and the parcel gave him the opportunity. He said to just bin it, and I explained I wasn't happy to do that but wouldn't let it build up again. And that was that. Because I don't care what everyone else does!

Time for another Strepsil.
