Morning EHM thanks for thread!
mini-Mad-1 Happy Birthday! mad thinking of you, hope all goes well.

Going to stay focussed today!
Did lots of cleaning for parents at weekend so not too much blessing to do today.
Plan of action:
Washing catch up
Shopping order away when arrives
Bedroom tidy
S&S bathrooms
Going to tackle DS1 room as my extra room this week. Going to wash down window frame today.
Need to do a bit of paper work/diary/calender updating/ menu plannig/B'day planning etc....
Maybe bit of gardening in back...

Dh has managed to arrange to go in a wee bit late so he can take DC to school - so dont need to get busses! Will be bussing it this afternoon though so will have less time today!

Right going to get on ... really.
If you see me before lunch time tell me to go away LOL

Have a good morning all!

Right, I'm now only allowed on here once a day for next ten days as we have told the kids no telly for them and us for 10 days (we have hidden it)to try and improve our parenting and their tantrums

My theory is that without telly they will begin
stamp collecting
jewellery making
lego building
dressing up
listening to music
reading
doing their homework
research
rocket science
camps and hideouts
painting
cooking
dancing
swimming
gardening
and last but not least PLAYING

Dh says we need to detoxify them and then reintroduce a small amount every week.

But now my everhopeful list is

Take rubbish to dump (a carload of garden)
change duvets
hoover playroom and hall
wash kitchen floor
make a list of thankyou letters to write
pick up paperwork and redo (aaargh)
defrost mini-casserole for supper ds1 before I forget it's there
make pasta sauce for dh with the peppers
Work afterlunch
Find tights
Find party outfit from cupboard
Go to party this evening (dh babysitting)

TMH - keep on resting after exertions of weekend.
Galen - hope bus adventures do not continue too long for your sanity. It is fun for littlies tho. My ds2 will read the final destination on a bus and plead with me to let him go to ...(whatever it is - the end of line sounds so exotic)

Btill TUESDAY

Hello all!

Happy birthday and good luck to the Mads, and what a fantastic idea, swannie. I think I might join you in that...

Had the in laws over for the wekeend which precipitated 2 mad days of cleaning/decluttering/general skipping out, which was hell, tbh.

The upshot of course is that now, for the first time in ages, my house looks well, sort of, almost, kind of, nearly presentable.

So my resolution is to keep it that way.

And we all know there's only one sure fire way of doing that...

I'm going to fly - every day.

So, without further ado, will, switch off MN and get off one's backside to go do what needs to be done.

Best of luck all & see you tomorrow.

Should I reappear before then please feel free to give me torrents of abuse - please.

Cheers

Bella x

Hello Everyone

Love and nice thoughts going to all at the Madhouse

Done my morning routines then my creche stint and the dinnerlady bit. They want me for lunch all week so that will be nice. The art sesh is postponed so I came home and

Loaded and run WM
Ordered books from Redhouse (Book eating boy and Pipkin of Pepper)
Chased up holiday booking

Off to collect Ed in 15. Thanks for the comments about trying to get him harder books, I'm sure they will and if they don't I'll dig out the Mick Inkpens, Usborne Farmyard and phonic readers instead

Theif The cloak and tashe discription makes me think of Dick Dastardly your not him are you?

Just having chance to stop. Spent most of the late afternoon/early evening doing schoolwork with Ed (Education City then spellings and reading) He has been smashing and suprisingly productive (I think DS time was riding on it) Oh, his teacher has given him a couple of harder ORT books, the read at home ones. He has done really well and I knew he found the challenge of words like thought rewarding.

I have also

Emptied WM and sorted for drying
Load and run again
Organise washing for pegging out in the morning
Run DW
Feed Cats
Take down drying washing
Load TD and run x2
Put away dry washing
Bags organised for morning
Bathroom and loo S&S

I'm finished for the day. Nighty Night folks

Evening all
Totally exhausted so very brief pop in!

mad hope all going OK, and all calm in mad household
swan great idea about TV, I find when I ban/severely limit it things go much more smoothly (well after initial protests LOL)

Well today an odd mix here really
In desperation at the thousands of grubby hand prints/streaks of playdough/blobs of goodness knows what all over the hall walls I have painted the hall and stairs LOL(inspired by you gibberish!)
Have done walls and 3/5 of woodwork. Just have 2 doors left to do tomorrow eve!
Looks much better, but I do now have a lot of paint in my hair LOL

DC loved going on the bus this PM, but what is normally an hours round trip(including waiting for them at school) took me 2 1/2 hours Poor DS2 and DD4 were a bit fed up by the time we got back.

But good news the car is fixed and I have it back YAY - bad news it cost £300 so now totally , totally skint LOL

Also my hip/sacro iliac joint is now killing me ( lingering SPD problems that I always get when PG, but seems to have never fully reolved after DS2 was born) due to carrying DS in sling on treck to school. (not enough hands to manage buggy and 6 kids on 2 buses LOL)

So off to collapse on sofa, will ponder tomorrow and come up with fun plan of action!
see you all tomorrow

swan good idea re tv. we havnt put ours on this evening and suprisingly ds has done loads of homework.

although we didnt get home til 6 so poss. a bit cheating to try out not putting it on today!

have done no real flying today as been in uni all day.
did manage to;
strip dc beds
quick tidy
hoover
wash up
sort dry washing
unload washer

but thats all, not even read what todays mission is- will do that in a second.
waves to everyone
