how to remove non permanent marker from carpets?

My ys just drew on our floors...(you can go round the downstairs in one big circle and he did just that, with a pen in his hand, grrr).
It came off fine, wiht some flash stuff of the laminate flooring and the tiles...but I daredn't touch the carpets, incase it just spreads the penmarks....

Argh...I can't bloody believe it...I am seriously pissed off!

have you tried wet wipes? or spraying it with fizzy min water and then blotting?

thank you...will try...it is watersoluble pen, apparently...so...it would probably work
