condensation/damp

our house is made of concrete and gets very damp through the walls, there are no vents in the windows but i open them as much as possible but it is too cold at the moment. I think we need insulation but i presume there is no way of having cavity insulation as it is solid concrete. have tried special paints, they don't work. Wallpaper peels off bringing plaster with it. DD is 16 months and the larger room where she will move into when she goes in a bed is very damp and i'm worried it will cause health problems.

Do you know which type of concrete house you have?

it isn't the sort with metal supports as i know they cause problems. It was built as a council property in the 60s.

my dad said there is a paint you can get that sucks up the moisture, it does work but dries to look like woodchip so bumpy finish - he is a decorator and is sure it works give that a try?
