Morning shannara and all who follow
thanks for the thread
I am feeling very stressed this morning, so much so my chest feels tight
Everywhere looks like there has been a huge explosion of toys, paperwork, washing etc.
I don't no where to start

Tigger Take a deep breath and then set the timer for 15 mins. Start in one room at the door and work round it back to the door. After 15 mins teake a deep breath and start again. If all else fails - do what I do, lock myself in the loo until I can face the chaos that is my house and two boys

Back with more in a min

Right. I am back

Today the boiler company will be arriving between 10 and noon, so I have arrange for my mother to come over, so I can take the boys swimming. I NEED HEATING - IT IS COLD Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Swimming
Lunch
Also need to attack Ironing mountian
Soup to make for dinner (chicken carcass in slow cooker)
Make rols for dinner
Zone clean
Shopping delivery this evening
Order for next week

Half term upsets my rythm, but the house looks OK, it tends to be the zones and missions that do not get done.

I also need to get a pumkin for tomorrow

Morning

Thanks fo rthe thead Shanna

Tigger take things steady. The 15minute rule is perfect for days when it all feels too much x x

TMH are you all better?

AoA enjoy the train

I have a houseful of girls coming this morning to carve halloween pumpkins Hopefully it'll be fun but I predict a lot of mess so there'll be a big clear-up operation this afternoon!

Ds also has a friend coming so I'm hoping they don't torment the girls too much

Thanks for the tax link Ruby TMH yes it is cold! the Sag house has no central heating so it's cardis, socks n slippers and living in one room at a time here. I refuse to put a heater on before November

I didn't get chance to log on yesterday. Saw the GP early doors then a mooch round town with DS, off to a playbus thing then DS had a friend back

Today DH has to work til 9pm and I'm having a baking pyjama day. I am peeling apples as I surf

Will catch up with yesterday

Hi all

I have just not been able to find a minute to MN this week!

Tigger I have been feeling very much the same lately
I'm currently trying to sort the kids bedroom out, which is usually the room that gets me down the most. No matter how often I tidy it always looks the same awful mess
So far I have pulled everything out from under the beds....
Moved DD2's bed
Moved DS's chest of drawers

And that's as far as I've got! I stopped to go and find the furniture polish to clean the drawers...but can't find the polish!

Hope you get on top of it....I'll be thinking positive vibes for you as I'm in the same boat!

Report
tigger32 · 29/10/2008 10:49

Thanks luda it's horrible to feel like it isn't it? I hope you get through it too
I'm feeling a bit better each time I do something, just realised that I'm not dressed yet so going to have a shower now then off to soft play this afternoon with some friends.

Report
ludagoryghoul · 29/10/2008 10:58

I totally agree....its a horrible feeling. Things just get on top too much and it makes you really fed up doesn't it. Have a nice afternoon...that should make you feel a bit brighter

I've found the polish...and polished the drawers......
I'm now stalling the process of tidying/sorting the junk!......

Gah! I HATE it!

eh? whats going on? Are you two the same person (or schitzophrenic?)

I ahve been up to garage to get car seats from my car (poor thing, up on a ramp with no wheels!) so I can use dh car. I have HUGE respect for all who manage without cars. I feel trapped without a car .

Done:
Trip to woolies to recky Xmas presents.
Bedding in wash
Halloween decorations put up .
Bulbs under bed to sprout .
DS key words practised.

To Do:
Ds reading.
Drive to park/duck pond.
Quick fly in LR.
Tea.
Dash back to Woolworths to purchase identified toys (3 for 2 offer ends Sun!)
Baby sit friends delightfully co operative baby while dh struggles to get our misbehaved children to bed .

tigger when the house gets me down I go out (actually I hate being in the house during the day anyway.

lol...I thought sagtitoldwitch was you saga!

lol

Well it has taken me a good hour but the kids room is done! I feel LOADS better for doing it. (they had better not DARE go in there now though!)

I tell you what...I have been upstairs and the kids have been downstairs...I don't want to even see the mess they will have made down there!
I can hear nothing but DD2 screaching every 5 mins at DS....I can't even be faffed with trying to intervene!

I have the kids stereo on with a hits cd....I'm not even sure if the songs are being sung by the artists or whether its a kiddies cover type disc (IYKWIM) there is a rather dodgy sounding Spice Girl track on ATM!

Back from baby group and dd fast asleep so time to get luncha and on with flying..

Scatty Tell me, shall I steal your idea of putting bulbs under bed to sprout before into gardenor are your bulbs special bulbs that grow under the bed?
I bought a few (aliums, crocus, snowdrops, tulips) at the weekend and just wondering if it gonna snow again or shall I just risk putting them in the ground now.
Your plan under the bed . Please tell is that for all bulbs..??

Ooooh lavenderTea are you new or have you name changed?

I have just discovered next doors kids are all downstairs too!
I've decided to stay up here

Bathroom next I think....

With a bit of a halloween Boogie to help things along!

Report

lavendar LOL. The bulbs are planted in pots for Xmas. I've put them under the bed (planted in pots) as I had a vague idea that they flower early (ie at Xmas rather than in spring) if kept in warm dark place until shoots sprout (then you bring them out). Bare in mind that this may be something I've made up (haven't done it before), I need to check with my mum. .

Spring flowering bulbs are in the garden (waiting for spring).

Good afternoon

Luda hello! Nice to see you We have carved our pumpkins today and will be amking a ghost soon...I'll post a picture on fb

We have had such a fun morning carving the pumpkins! The girls have been lovely, esp to dd who had an attack of low-confidence..they were so sweet at cheering her up
The boys have been good too, a bit noisy perhaps but generally they'vge kept out of teh way and played well

Everyone stayed for lunch. I need to tackle the kitchen but have run out of steam!

I'll have some lunch and a sit down then get on to it. No idea how long everyone is staying but they're all happy so it could be a whole day of play
