Thought I'd make myself useful so

Here's the mission (Easy, I don't have one )

and here's the Babysteps link Just choose your day

I'm on a 'Surviving your child' course this morning, week 2 of 10. Homework for this week has been 'Play with your child'!?! It seems to be working as it's got Ed away from the TV, games and toys played with and some schoolwork done. We have to hope it's effective

See you this afternoon. Be good to yourselves.

you don't have a kitchen bin How does that work?

Report
grouchyoscar · 07/10/2008 02:25

Poly bag hung off cupboard door handle. Hang bag when starting a job, fill it and chuc it when finished.

It's a DH thing. His family have never had a kitchen bin and damn it he isn't going to entertain one now

Morning

Did you sleep at all last night Grouchy?

I have the poly bag for recycling at the moment. I think once they start collecting food waste, I will use the bin for that, and put rubbish in the bag though.

I'm up and ready, need to wake the children. I hate having to wake them up but dd1 needs to wash her hair before school so she needs to be up a bit earlier than usual.

Crappy morning here so far. Tax credit money not gone in bank so am walking to town for my appointment as I need to see the bloke desperately & go into job centre for some info about whether I can sign on if oh at work.

Very stressed, nothing done apart from up, brekky and pots. Need to leave in 5mins so will be back later on with a list.

Hope you all have a better morning than me

Lucys hope your morning gets better!

Its absolutely piddling down here this morning

I'm busy with Avon today. Have to get all my orders out, and new books out, and collect all the money in by Friday as we go away next week.
I could do without the rain!

Awwwww that WWF advert isn't very nice!!

Right better get on with it otherwise the hour I have left on my own will be gone and I'll have to lug DD2 with me in the rain....not my idea of fun!

See you later

Morning.
All ok here at the moment. Trying not to worry about getting ill myself.
DD1 and DS2 will be back to school tomorrow. They are playing on the wii together at the moment. They are actually being nice to each other for once!

I should get some housework done. Suppose i had better get to it lol!

You lot put me to shame with your long lists of jobs done.

Hi everyone.

My kitchen's not too bad. Been swimming with DD2 this morning and have a friend of DD1s over to play after school. Dont fancy doing too much between now and school run. Now, if I could just get DD2 to have a nap....

Afternoon all Flame Grilled Grouchy here

My thread was a bit too easy to take offence at but I am offended at being 'just' a housewife and mother. I have apologised so they can go hang

Seems I'm progressing well with Ed. I just have to catch him being good and heap praise on him.

Ed spotted the christmas stash this morning I played stupid and said I couldn't see anything but I have to sort it out this aft.

Radio5 have panicked me ab out the Iceland bank but phew. It's not the one I've stuffed Ed's cash in

Empty bin
Unload/reload D/W
Collect washing from neighbour (W/M still not arrived!!)
Vaccum downstairs
Tidy living room
Put clothes piles away (hate, hate, hate, this job! Luckily there aren't as many as usual ATM!)

Oooooh x-posts!

Hi greyskull

GO ooooh I must have missed your thread....
Hope Ed doesn't twig!

My DD1 found one of her teeth I'd put in my jewelery box for safe keeping. Luckily she found it and asked if it was mine! She firmly believes it can't be hers as the tooth fairy has got hers! Phew!

Jas I have a caddy for composting food waste and I have to deal with that. When full add it to the compost bin and buy a box of worms from the angling shop when that looks full

I got back to sleep at 3am and up at 6.45 to start the morning routines. I think I'm rather depressed (again ) as I keep taking things to heart, struggling with insomnia and I've bitten all my nails off again.

I procrastinate. TTFN

Hi bythepower... tort - no list of stuff done here either unless you count eating croissants and mumsnetting

ludaloo - do you have an EDD for the w/m?

lucysmam - I hope things went ok with the debt man. You;ve worried me re the tax credit...ours is due in tomorrow, and dp reminded me that although he gets paid (We hope) on Friday, it will be a cheque, and so not any use to pay this months mortgage. I need the tc money to pay it.

I will not be back until I have done something.....

Hi all.

lucy hope your finances look up soon (fingers crossed for you).

grouchy that child course sounds interesting, do you go somewhere for it? I hope its not making you worry though as you sound like a very caring Mum and you have lots of good ideas (I'm always nicking them lol).

To do:
water plant
swimming with ds
wash dds bed
improve bedtime routine so that DCs are not tired and so that I have some time to self at the end of the day .

Can you guys help me. Tell me about your bedtime routines (and bedtimes) for your DCs as its utter chaos here and I am not getting them to sleep til 9pm which is too late for a 5 and 3yo and gives me no time to do anything (I go to bed at 10 as am always up with DD through the night). I need help
