Toy storage units and bins

Would like to organise living area and get the toys off the floor once and for all - can anyone suggest attractive storage units with decent sized bins, preferably the types that can slide out instead of lifting the bin out? Blooming Marv ones look nice but you have to lift them out.
Had a look at the ikea ones but the dimensions are not quite right for the space - too tall.
Alternatively, can anyone recommend any other storage ideas for open plan living?
Failing that, recommendation for an affordable carpenter who works in NW london would be welcome.
