morning

flood/no water/no heating people....seems to be the main points of yesterdays thread that I missed.

Plus recipes I skimmed as bananas were mentioned and I don't really like them.

Morning Luda thanks for the thread

Only Me here?

DH let me have a lie in today (well made me!) I heard him go down to do the tidying so I stripped the bed and remade it when he popped back with a couple of bacon butties rather miffed that I was doing something. Ah well, the bedroom is sorted

Just poppped downstairs to put a load in the wm and...Front room just as it was left last night. and it only took 5 mins to sort out (10 if you include re-building the duplo kits) Can blokes FLY? ah well shouldn't expect too much all at once

TMH I'd have taken them rather than have you paying eBay but I've got one to get shut of myself. Sorry

Morning luda Jas & grouchy & everyone who comes after

Bit warmer this morning, heating finally decided to kick in at 10pm last night , waking the lo who didn't go back to sleep until 3am! So we're all knackered again even though she slept until 9am for once.

grouchy stripping the bed is NOT a lie in!!
Jas I never think banana recipes taste very banana-ey tbh. I don't like them either but will happily munch them if they're made into something cake like

Just finishing brekkies and packing lo's bag here before getting a shower & dressed for town. Big coats on I think - looks icy out there [brrrrrr]

BBL, hope you all have a good weekend xx

Morning everyone

Weather is awful here too

I'm waiting in today anyway, a couple of people are turning up today to collect some bits and bobs I advertised on Freecycle. (I've not long joined and it is brilliant!)

I'm up and dressed but the kids are all in PJ's still.

Right better crack on

Morning all. What is it with heating at the mo? Our heating is not working in DS room, seems to take ages to get going and the pump is really loud and is in the cupboard in our bedroom, so not much sleep last night.

Everyone seems to be grumbling about Ebay being mean to sellers atm - have I missed something? Was just about to try to sell a load of stuff. Apparently this is the best time of year, in the run up to Christmas...

OK my list for today:

2 x white washes
2 x colour washes
Empty dishwasher and reload
15 mins tidy kitchen
15 mins tidy hall and study
Hoover and mop downstairs
Clean downstairs loo
Hoover stairs and landings
15 mins tidy living room
Hoover living room and plump and rotate sofa cushions (to avoid DHs crater directly in front of TV )
Hoover bedrooms

Later when DS has gone to bed:
Find camera and charger and start Ebay photos and turbo listing.

Morning luda Jas Grouchy Lucysmam and all,

I've been missing the last few days, due to being an ultra busy bee but I've still been keeping on top of housework & flying. (Just) Infact DH has even noted my efforts and said as much last night!

I've got to have a quick whip around and then food shopping today. Am on a diet, so my bill SHOULD be lower than usual but then again, healthy food always seems to cost more!

Check back with you later. Have a great saturday.

Hi everyone- back again

Done

Emptied w/m and put things on airer
Damp clothes t/d and folded
Lunch made
Started decluttering DS's room- it was a blast from the past and quite emotional- I have found every pair of shoes he's ever had in the bottom of his wardrobe. They are now sitting in a binliner in the kitchen until I decide what to do with them. No good for DD and most pairs are too worn to be of any interest to anyone but I feel very sad about getting rid of them. Ive decided to keep his first pair but I wish I could keep them all so i could get them out occasionally and look at them.

To Do

Clean kitchen after lunch
Empty d/w
Hoover round
Quick tidy round
More decluttering (if my heart can take it!)

DD2 has gone to sleep. Poor girl.
They are both upset because i think we will have to miss the childrens carnival parade.

Kitchen is getting better but i am not in the mood for cleaning really. But it all needs to be done. I do have more time next week when DD2 will be at school full time.

Afternoon ladies

Guess what? . . . . oh not paid

So we're at MIL's with the lo as it seemed mean to tell her we were off out then not go anywhere. She's helping bake a cake . . . lots of ingredient eating methinks!

We're a bit bored & not looking forward to walking home but never mind, got us out of the house for a bit

Will have a small list tonight maybe, if I can be arsed!

TTFN, hope you're all enjoying Saturday so far xx

Lucysmam Poor you, doesn't sound much fun.
Horrible and wet out so sort of glad we aren't going to watch the childrens carnival. Next Saturdays illuminated night carnival is the important one not to miss!

I had my stopcock moved so I could reach it easily. >

Lucys I feel for you. DH hasn't been paid for 3 mths and it's getting a bit squeaky bum time here.

I got up and

Emptied WM
Hung to dry
Load WM and run
Empty DW
Put away
Clean kitchen worksurfaces
Clean hob
Clean out the cat cellar
Reline with newspaper and sawdust
take soiled litter out and put in garbage
Take down gardening tools to store in cellar
Dust bedroom
Clean Loo
Clean bathroom
Wash Bathroom floor

Also cleaned the basin drain by doing the volcano science experiment with Ed. He loves it

I have 4 job apps to complete. I have printed out the bulk of it but the handwriting bit is a PITA so I am procrastinating by finding other tasks to tackle

dp has been shopping (my mum gave me some money yesterday, and there is enough to pay the (very overdue) council tax and do a small shop)I've tidied, hoovered and washed, but my back aches and I don't want to do anything else.

I've also had the AA man come and start the car, as the battery was flat (haven't used irt for a couple of weeks). I really want rid of it, but dp won't sell it until it dies, as it is only worth scrap value now.

Afternoon all

jas Bless your mum

Ruby Stopcock - yes located and I can turn it on and off

We have been and got the boys gloves, scarf and hats.

They have ULTRA BIG heads. DS1 is in 8-11 year old hat

Why is everything in sets. Buy hat and gloves and to get the hat to fit the gloves are way too big and visa versa.

Any way

Lazy afternoon

Food
Baths
Boogieing (strickly)
Bed

Jas · 04/10/2008 15:17

I have the best parents in the world

DS would be in 4-8 yr hat now I think. I need to go up in the loft and get the bag of hats etc out. I'll do it when dp gets back as the ladder is a bit rickety.

We could get any that we had on either of them I have given some to a friend for her LO. Mine also have a lot of hair too
