Oh I am up as DS1 is still not right. He has a nasty cold and it is making him rather chesty.

I have popped on his humidifyer and tryed to give him cal cold - but why isnt it pink mummy. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO (wail) I want it to be PINK.

So I am up and can not seem to get back to sleep. So I am going to have some hot milk and try again.

Note to self: take off splints when trying to open calpol bottle in the dark

Note to all: Splints are so unconfortable , but I am persiveering

Morning all

TMH thanks for the thread? for DS1 hope he feels better soon. I use Tixylix cold and flu atm, they don't mind taking it and it seemeed to help them. Hopefully the splints will help and make it worth the discomfort.
It's ds's birthday and me and dd woke 6:55 and ds is still asleep. [happy]
I've nwo got to get teh w/m on , this morning is a quick tidy up before it gets messed up again under a sea of toys Hopefully Jonathon will have a lovely day.
Have a good day everyone

Happy birthday small shanna (did you mean to put a rl name in that last post?...you may want to ask for it to be deleted if not)

Are the splints helping at all TMH?
I hope ds1 is ok today. (my dds are huge and still won't take non-calpol meds) I've tried to teach dd1 to swallow tablets but no success at all so far.

well I lol at the title today! Got me wanting a crunchie now

Mad 3am?!!! poor ds1! Hope he's feeling better soon . Are the splints helping you at all?

Shannar happy birthday to your ds, hope he has a good one

good morning Jas & everyone else

Well it looks like it's just me and the lo this morning. J's mum hasn't dropped him off, but no-one rang to let me know so I set alarm to get us all up at 6:45 so we'd be awake and dressed when he got here so am not happy! Could have had 45 mins more in bed

Have put the early start to good use again, almost everything done just brekky in a bit and pots to sort. Then I really ought to start on decluttering everything before xmas!

Oh, and am going to sort out the baby stuff I don't like or don't think will sell for BIL and his gf as she is pg. Just hope they don't expect too much from us as we had to do everything for ourselves and so far his mum has paid their bond, done all their washing and shopping at Asda! plus everything else! I'm not impressed that MIL suggested we just give them the cot that fil bought us as a gift either!

Anyways, off to check oh is dressing for work now & doesn't need anything doing

BBL with a declutter list starting in bathroom I think

Gosh its Friday already!

Sorry I haven't been around much this week, I hope everyone is doing ok

Well....I'm still struggling on without a washing machine....hopefully will be remedying that soon

Its look after your pets in the ludaloo household today.
I've cleaned the cats bowls and flead her and brushed her
I've cleaned the fish tank out and put some new plants in...
And I've just cleaned the guinea pigs out and disinfected their cage, put new bedding in and clipped their nails

Morning all.
I really shouldn't be on here! lol!

TMH Hope ds1 is better soon. Hope the splints will help you in the end.
Shanna Happy birthday to your DS. Hope he has a fab day.
RR Thanks. I am hoping i will be ok and back home quickly. I was told it would be day surgery and i could be home the same evening.

I have harvest festival to attend this afternoon. I think i will take DD2 to the park after her morning session at school then go to the H/F. Not worth walking all the way home first really.
WM is on. DD2's sheets and duvet yet again.
DW needs emptying. DS1 hasn't been doing his job. I think i need to think about pocket money for him and forget giving him a few pence per DW empty.

DD1 is very hard work at the moment. She seems to be in a constant bad mood. I have had enough of her but don't know what to do to stop her strops.

Also have a pile of washing to put away!

Hello Luda A WM is very hard to manage without. Hope you have that sorted soon.

Report
lucysmam · 26/09/2008 11:54

hello again ladies!

luda I am that you still have no WM! We had no wm or 6 months when we were 1st together, it's a nightmare!!

tortoise my lo is often in a constnt bad mood too, it's a right PITA!

I am well chuffed with the quid I spent in . . . . you guessed it, the £1 shop the other day on a 'make your own underwater world thing' with stand up figures and a few cut out shapes. Have given a few of the cut outs to my lo and some shapes along with the 'sea' and she's been playing with it happily for ages.

While she's been playing with that I've totally decluttered the bathroom, done oh's footy kit through wm from last night, almost entirely decluttered the kitchen apart from the pot cupboard as I need a basket or two for on top of the kitchen cupboards for unused baby bottles before I can do anything about that.

Just debating a cuppa or declutter a couple of drawers in living room before I do lunch for both of us and ring MIL to see if she's coming round today

Off to pop kettle on, probably do lunch before I carry on with anything else tbh. Will bbl with another 'done' list. Makes me feel soooo much better to be able to see what I've managed to get done through the day rather than feeling like I've done nothing because it's all stuff that was hidden away

TTFN xx

Greetings to you All*

Happy Birthday to Baby TigerSympathies to TMH* Ed woke up at 3:30 this morning and would not settle. 3 nights of broken sleep He has a spelling test today as well

Done my morning routines, pegged the washing out and I'm just taking it steady until the chaos of Friday evening (Rugby training, tesco shop etc etc)

Went swimming yesterday and I felt so much better for it. DH dealt with Ed this week so I was able toget ready in peace n quiet.

I have just missed a washing machine on Ebay Was hoping to bid on it but I had to go and clean the nursery, then pick my DD2 up from a friends and I missed it by 4 minutes [gah]

There is another one now due to end this evening, so hopefully might have better luck with that one.

tort my mum has just same op as you, she didn't go down until 4pm so had to stay over night, but was home the next morning feeling quite good! She had keyhole is that what you will have?

Mad oooooh poor you re: the splints it must be difficult to perservere if they are causing you pain. I hope they are worthwhile xx

Happy Birthday Baby Shannar

Hi tort I hope your DD1 is just having a bad phase and she calms soon.

Lucy's It IS a nightmare you are right! I'm doing ok considering, but I absolutely hate asking other people if I can lend their washing machine. I have bought both my neighbours who have helped me a bottle of wine as a thanks.
Hoping to get one very soon. I then have the trauma of trying to get it plumbed into my downstairs toilet (oh god...don't ask!)

Well it is a glorious afternoon so I will walk and get the kids later and maybe take them all to the park.
I'm doing ok housework wise, pets all clean and happy and I now have my dishwasher plumbed back in (where the broken washing machine was) so I have a nice tidy kitchen with no washing up hanging around waiting to be done!

erm, luda, wm in the loo? Well I can't say anything, ours had to live in the bathroom when we were in our grotty one bed flat before here!

I have decluttered lo's wardrobe . . . no easy task with her 'helping' me and it's still full to bursting!

Started on a couple of drawers in our bedroom but lo thought emptying everything everywhere would be good fun so I have given up on that for now until someone is either here to watch her or has her for the day. Am doing the drawers in living room instead this afternoon, getting rid of any random bits stashed away tidily in a heap

Report
tortoise · 26/09/2008 17:40

Tigger Yes it will be done by keyhole surgery. Glad to hear your Mums positive story. I am trying not to worry about it.

Luda DD1 has been a grumpy cow child for years. Just been worse the last few days! DS2 doesn't help by winding her up and pressing all the right buttons to make her worse!

I popped into the Drs surgery to book an sppointment for blood test and the nurse was free so did it straight away! Good job i like having blood taken. DD2 loved watching the blood come out into the tube!

WM took too long this morning and waasn't finished before i went out so it is still in the machine! Well, i have put the sheet and waterproof sheet out to dry them a little before i TD them to put back on the bed!
