Morning everyone. Halfway through morning routine. Hoping to have a day in the house today although DD2 is already moaning so not sure how relaxing it will be. DD1 happy watching Scooby Doo though.

Hi everyone. Got back from a 2 week holiday on Saturday which was brilliant but now back to earth with a bump as my mum used to say. Hope everyone is well.

Today's list...

Food shop
Wash up and clean kitchen
15 minutes upstairs
2 loads washing
Half hour ironing (have such a huge mountain I couldn't possibly do it all - especially as I have to do it while ds is asleep)
15 minutes downstairs
2 x missions (I have 2 weeks wroth to get through!)

If I achieve half that I am doing well!

Back later

Morning EHM - hope you had a fab time in Jersey
Morning Bewilderbeast -
Which RHS garden do you go to? I am a member of the RHS and take my dcs to the garden just up the road (North Yorks) all the time! I also go to the one in Surrey with my parents a lot.

Have a lovely time - although the weather is pretty rubbish here! Hope it's better wherever you are.

rupert are you a member and is it worth it? I avoided joining this year because I thought I wouldn't go enough and typically I've been loads!

Report
RupertTheBear · 11/08/2008 08:45

My mum gives me membership for Christmas every year. I would say it's definitely worth it - I think it is £35 for the year and so you only need to go 6 times to cover it. (Of course that depends how old your children are - mine are under 6 so get in free, once dd turns 6 we will need to get family membership which is a bit more I think) You also get a guest in free on your membership card so I suppose that means you only need to go 3 times to cover the membership.
We probably go at least once a fortnight (it's is just the right size for the children to have a run round) and more during the school holidays as they always put events on.
I'm not getting paid by them to advertise I promise!!

Nuts, I've already been three times this year and everytime I've thought I should join but then talked myself out of it thinking that i'd be unlikley to go again this year. We live about an hour away so we wouldn't use it as much as if we lived up the road. DS is under 2 so luckily he's free

Morning , thanks for the thread Ev

Nice to have you back EHM, glad Jersey was fun

I am so far behind and am struggling with everything; kids, work, house, garden, life generally

I have 4 extra children here right now who I am dropping off at a play scheme along woth my children in about an hour, then I have 2 hours without children so had plans to have a blitz on the main areas of the house. I have been lacking in energy for the past week or so and am sooo tired this morning I can already imagine I'm going to waste the morning and be with myself later.

bianca be good to you. the housework can always wait.as long as you & kids are ok.email/phone me if you need to chat.

Report
BiancaCastafiore · 11/08/2008 09:18

Trouble is I really don't think the housework can wait any more, the place is a tip, things are getting lost everywhere (paperwork mostly ), there's a HUGE increase in piles of "stuff" _everywhere...God knows what it all is!?!

A neighbour has just complained that she didn't have the last parish newletter (we distribute it to our street) so I suspect we've completely forgotten to do it and again, I have no idea hwere they might have ended up in this pig-sty of a house.

I'll get these kids out of the way then maybe have a bike ride to kick start my body a bit....(have put on 4lbs this past few weeks too )

Report
EHM · 11/08/2008 09:21

before you go to the play scheme get all the kids to help you deliver the news letter?
then tackle the remainder of piles once they are out of the way. little at a time, please don't stress[hugs]

OUCH

ds attacked me (not unusual) and has tipped a just made cup of tea all over me, I have bad scalds on my leg stomach and chest and that's after stripping off and cooling the skin down. I really am at a loss as to what to do with him sometimes

Report
EHM · 11/08/2008 09:25

bugger i fear there is no way out of this enjoy the bike ride, you may feel more motivated to kick 'ass' when you get back & tackle the piles of 'stuff'. Start by giving me a kick up the back side to get of the pc, MUST GET DRESSED

BiancaCastafiore · 11/08/2008 09:25
