I want something that will absorb smell, but not emit it - a bit like cat-litter, I guess, except... not! Any clues?

why

because...

due to stupid arrangement of stupid rooms in stupid flat the bin for night-time disposable nappies has to live in our bedroom. (yes, it's vom, I know, but we're stuck with it for now.) have been putting used nappies in plastic bags but it's still stinky. and environmentally evil.

lol, cod, you have no idea how much I would love to throw them out the window - hate our downstairs neighbour! and they would all go splat on her back door-step. happiest thought I've had all day.

I do re-use other bags eg from the carrots - but finding now ds is on solids it still pongs.

okay it's mostly wee nappies, usually catch the poos in his daytime cloth nappies. but they still smell like wee!

bathroom floorspace all taken up with dirty clothes hamper and cloth nappy bin. seriously there is nowhere else.

have considered swapping dirty clothes hamper and disp nappy bin. didn't while we needed the bin accessible to where he's changed (the bed - again no room in bathroom for change bits, or for changing either for that matter) but might do it now.

our bin lives in our kitchen; there is no outside access - we put nappies into green bag on rubbish night. bin would fill up too quick otherwise and there is nowhere to store tied-up green bags. told you it was a stupid flat.

oh now I've remembered why we don't swap the disp nappy bin (from the bedroom) with the dirty clothes hamper (from the bathroom) - it's cos the dirty clothes hamper is full of... wet nappies!
