Well DD1 is ill again She was absolutely fine until about 7pm last night...I was having a bath and she came in and said her tummy hurt. She was in bed and asleep by the time I had got out the bath I had to wake her to get her undressed, and she was sick

She is still asleep now...I don't know what to do with her today, she was supposed to be dressing up and having her photo taken for the school christmas cards. She was soooo excited about it too.

I'll go and see how she is in a mo...

Well I am in all day today, which means I can get on and do the house.

See you all in a bit

Morning all.

Thanks for the thread luda. Sorry to hear about your dd1

I'm in all day but I have a friend and her dc coming round in a couple of hours, so I'm going to crack on with the work now.

Morning

Sorry about your dd1 Luda, what a shame if she misses the school photos.

Have a good day Jas

TMSH I wonder about having genetic tests but am unsure at the moment...do you need a living relative with the gene in order for it to be identified? I've never got further than thinking about it all but do wonder if I ought to look into it more closely.

We have a day at home today. I might see if some friends could come and play this afternoon but I'm inclined to just have a lazy catch up around the house day. The kids need to spend some time helping me sort their bedrooms, and dd seems quite up for it Ds isn't so sure, he just wants to play on the computer.

Well, we'd better get on and have some breakfast. See you later x

Morning all - just a quick catch up before we head out for the day.

Luda thanks for the thread. I hope your DD is feeling better soon.

Bianca I believe that you can take the tests privately, but both my mums sisters had the same cancer at the same age and one died. Also we have a history of other cancers in the family. My aunt was offered a blood test, as the centre for life is in Newcastle (where she lives), so she said yes. results took 9 months to come back, as they test for all sorts of spelling mistakes. Now she has her news all immeidate relatives are tested - her children and her remaining brothers and sister and if positive their children.

I have really soul searched regarding the test, but I have made my decision now.

My aunty is having her breasts removed soon, as she has already had ovarian cancer there is an 85% change of suffering with breast cancer. My mum has her ovaries out on 9 december as a precaustion. I am hoping she has had test and results back by then and it is negative - but we will see.

Sorry for the essay

Thanks all

Well she seemed ok this morning so she has gone to school. She despirately wanted to dress up. She is going to be a lamb...with tinsle in her hair..bless. The whole school are dressing up for christmas cards, the school will be selling them to raise money.
I've just asked her teacher to keep and eye on her and phone me if she is unwell.

DS is calving pumpkins at nursery today! He was just as excited to go today, they have been making halloween things, he came home with a bat and a ghost yesterday.

DD2 gets the raw deal as she has to stay here with me LOL.
Actually she is busy watching Thomas The Tank, and playing with her Bob The Builder toys (she's a bit of a tom boy)

Well better get on with the house!

TMSH thanks I hope all your family tests go OK...it's a very difficult dilema - to know or not to know....

OOoooh its quiet here today.

I have been to collect DS who was chuffed to bits with his pumpkin.

I've decluttered the living room and tidied the computer desk. I've also spent quite a while filing all the stray bits of paper and bills etc.

I've dusted and made lunch. Just having a quick breather before I have to fold and put away MORE washing.

No call from the school so far, so DD1 must be ok I hope she is having fun anyway.

I have also sprayed the oven with Mr Muscle...I shall rinse that off and clean the rest of the cooker this afternoon.

Hope you are all having a good day

I've been working in dds bedroom all morning. She started out helping and finally agreed to cull her teddies a little which is a first (she still has way too many!) She gave up helping pretty quickly though, which actually wasn't a bad thing as I've been able to clear out more than she needs to know about Her room is completely dust and cobweb free now, and I've done a mini moveabout with some of her toy storage too which looks great

Ds played on the computer for a while and then re-discovered his duplo set in his bedroom and has been busy inventing all sorts of gadgets!

The rest of the house is a tip so I need to stay motivated this afternoon and get some more areas clean and tidy.

Off to make lunch now - it's later than I realised, no wonder the kids have been moaning that they're starving!

Well done bianca...its great when things are sorted and moved. My kids bedrooms still look great 2 days later

We did actually discover that DD1 hasn't got any toys of her own she has pretty much out grown all of the teddies and other bits and bobs, and they have been claimed by DD2. DS has tons of stuff!

It made me realise that for xmas we should find DD1 some special things just for her. She has the odd Barbie doll, and some teddies, and a baby doll but that is about it! (and even then, DD2 has aquired ownership rights to the dolls and gets very stressed if DD1 tries to play with them) I feel quite bad about it really.

Anyway,

Oven is sparkling! That Mr Muscle oven cleaner is fab! (It absolutely stinks to high heaven though...I've opened all the windows and put the extractor fan on, but I do have a bit of a fuzzy head now)

Next I need to wipe the work tops down and then the kitchen is pretty much done.

Luda my dd has the opposite problem, far too many toys! We sorted through them though and have got rid of most things which are too young for her (she's very sentimental though, so this was hard for her). We spent some time improving the Barbie "house" she plays with a lot (just a home-made structure, but she loves it) I wanted to try her bed in a difference place but she didn't like that idea so we've kept it where it was. A mornings work well done I feel

It's just the rest of the house which needs doing now

RR I wish! I'm really a 31 year old stress head...

Kitchen is now tidy, and surfaces wiped down.
I discovered the George Forman needed cleaning, (thanks a lot dh ) Ewwww I hate that job. At least now I can cook in either the grill or the oven, safe in the knowledge they are clean and ready to go.

Hi all.

My friend has gone now. The girls spent most of the day making hama bead things, but we've also made two pots of pumpkin soup, and carved the huge pumpkin, as well as having a treasure hunt, and doing some face painting.

We've kept them so busy, they haven't even had time to trash the house, so it isn't any worse than it was this morning. The dds are playing outside now, so I will tidy and hoover, then relax. Back later.

Now who's showing off Ruby?

I hope you get your bb sorted soon FGS

Why is yours taking so long to sort tortoise? It seems to have been ages.

My bb died this afternoon, so I did all my evening routine properly. We also had takeaway, and overordered so mch that tomorrows dinner is sorted, too.
