MLR I love reading posts by slightly drunk people the nex day (I'm much nearer to your age than Tortoise's too)

tortoise - I've never done the sun holidays but our first §haven hol almost everyone there had paid with sun vouhers. It is difficult to get school holiday times, and lots of sites add extra charges soit ends up not as cheap as you thought. We bought ours as a cheap online deal and paid the same in the end.
(It was a nice not too expensive holiday though)

DP is supposed to be working in the house today so I will be taking the dc out.Be prepared for or posts from me later depending on whether he actually does what he said he would.

Have a good weekend all.

Morning Jas, Morning All

I am already trying to save for a holiday next year. We would love to go back to Tenby, on the Haven caravan site. I'm saving a pound a day when I can. I figure by the time the kids break up for summer next year, we will have a nice lump of cash.

Jas I hope there are lots of little faces in your later posts

Well my car saga goes on!....dh fixed the boot, fixed the fuel cap, then discovered a noise he didn't like the sound of....got it up on the ramps to look and realised the front passanger side wheel was hanging off The alloys had been fixed on with ordinary wheel nuts (apparantly alloys have specific nuts) and they had vibrated loose. So Dh swopped the wheels for ones off another of our duff cars....all good and well...then he noticed the break disc was almost worn away...so decided to swop them too...except they were also siezed on and one side has shattered...so he hasn't finished it all yet...poor man..he was working until it fell dark, and he still has his own job which is in need of his time quite desperately!

It never rains...it pours!!!!!!!

Anyway...he is off out shortly to finish it off...then I have to take a trip into town (I'm a tad worried about using it now TBH!!!) I have to do a food shop, and get some birthday invitations for DD1 and DS....its both their birthdays this comming week.
(we've bought a bouncy castle...absolute bargain from Ebay) so they have a party next Saterday. (do you think a week is enough notice?)

Well off to do some FLYing, no one is dressed, and the kitchen looks like a bomb has gone off!!!

Morning all

Jas lol at the thread title, you can't resist showing off with your little symbol can you? I hope your dp makes good progress today. I hope you and your ds are both feeling better today. Have a good day out
Luda poor you and your car trouble! I hope todays drive goes OK [worried emotion] The bouncy castle sounds like fun for your dd1 and ds's party. I think a week is enough notice (but then I often leave things till the last minute too!)

I have to go to work in a bit and then am leaving a little early to take dd to a party in a town I've never really been to about 30/40 minutes drive away [anxiety alert!] I hope it'll go OK, I really like the family whose party it is

I have a load of washing in the machine, have emptied the dw and s&s the kitchen already this morning.
I just need to have a shower and then get the kids into the bath before I go.

Have a good day everyone

ludaloo I saved £1s from Christmas to Augst and had £178 at the beginning of the hols, which paid for our days out. Definitely a good pla. I've started again now to try and save for Christmas.

Hello everyone

My wobblyness got worse. I spent last night in excruciating pain, couldn't sleep because of it. I've been confined to bed today. Dh has gone to do the shopping with Ed.

So I won't be flying much today. Mind you I did enough yesterday so the house will tick over on it's own.

Hope this subsides by lunchtime.

ludaloo · 08/09/2007 09:57

oooh well done jas I've got about £15 so far...loooong way to go!

shouldbe hope the party goes ok and have a good morning at work xx
(thanks for your concern...I am sure dh won't let me drive it unless he thinks it is completely safe...and I'll go very slow!)

My head is done in! I've lost any kind of memory I ever had... I forgot my dads b'day which was on thursdy..and I'm very about that...I NEVER forget him...ever...he phoned to check I was ok!
I spent £99 yesterday on car tax....checked my purse today and completely couldn't figure out where it had gone!! Looked EVERYWHERE and began to panick somewhat. I was getting in a tiz before dh had to calm me down to explain! Its a mare!!!

I even bought a fancy new diary and calender....which seems is not that good if you forget to write dates on them!

Anyway...lets see if I can remember what I'm supposed to be doing today!!!
TUT!

Hi all.
Had a busy day today but mainly outside so house isn't too good yet!
Sorted out a pile of junk from the garden and had a good tidy up, sweep and weed of some areas. Still need to mow the grass. Hope to get time to do it tomorrow either before or after friends ds's party.

Jas i have read all the info and can't see anything about too many charges. Its extra for entertainment passes (under 5's free) and it says £5.50 service charge per unit per day so i am hoping thats just £5.50 a day!
Luda Hope the car is ok. Good job your DH knows how to fix bits . Good luck with saving up too. I also have an xmas tin. I check my wallet most days and put any £1 or £2 coins in it.
We are looking at Devon cliffs haven site for April. Anyone want to come too? I need some friends to celebrate with .

Evening everyone

Grouchy hope you're doing OK
Gibberish well done today
tortoise thank you

I had a great time at work and got loads done - I'm very productive when I'm being paid
Dd and I had fun at the party (I had a slight wobble on the way there but was OK in the end ) and dh and ds had an outing to see some fire engines so we all had a fun time
Home now and all very tired. The kids are in bed and I'm seriously considering a bath and another early night. I have the start of a headache and just can't be bothered to stay up.... feeling a bit and low for some reason....

See you all tomorrow x

Evening

My face mostly looks like after leaving dp at home all day to work.
He did what I would estimate is an hours work at the most, but assures me there will be a door where there is currently wall by tomorrow.

I did a good amoutof therapeutic declutterng today....dp moaned about the mess downstairs this morning, so I put all his junk that has been lying around for a fortnight in the bin

GO i hope you are still resting. I know you find it hard doing nothing but it is obviously needed at the moment. Best wishes for a speedy recovery.

gibberish at your done list. You deserve that star.

I'm glad things look good for the holiday tortoise - we really enjoyed ours.

Glad you made it to the part shouldbe - I hope you just need a rest, and feel a bit brighter tomorrow.
