oh god, thomas sanderson contacted us just after ours was built so we though - ok well let them come and quote - £12k, for the cheapest, OMFG, its not like its an orangary or anything its 3.5m square, and the £12k was just for the roof.
we never quite recoevered from the shock and 4 years later it is still window-dressing-less.

I know, they definately do come much much cheaper, we just didn't look into it as after living with it for a few months we realised we didn't need/want them.

Depends what type of blinds you want. We have them at all the windows , just the vertical ones and it cost me £250 and ours is quite a big one. We didn't have them for a while but when it's really hot they keep it cooler and also the kids can watch tv in there and it keeps the glare out.
If you looking at the electric ones that retract etc. and for the roof then they quite expensive.

I'm sure you can just put normal roller blinds up at the windows - that's what a salesman in a conservatory showroom told me.

We've just had one built too, and that's what I'm going to do. I'm getting the ones with blackout lining, as hopefully these will block out a bit of sun.

Ours is north facing though, so sun isn't that much of an issue. It's heating I need to sort out.........!!
